At the Gallery, the staff was kind and the selection is good, but unfortunately the online customer service is not responsive. They don't care about customers reaching out.

At the Gallery we have observed and bought knives and when arriving home, we noticed that the Yanagiba has a crack on the handle. It is not a fresh crack what occurred during the trip, but it is actually treated, sanded and worked into the material.

At the time of purchase, I haven't noticed any damage on the knife there. It has a chance that they have swapped the knife during packaging, to another one. It is unacceptable with a knife of this price.

When reaching out to them in email, asking for a resolution and partial refund, they have remained silent.

Not the kind of place you find by just passing in front. Once pushing the first door you feel in a special place. There are some booth but for some reason we were received at the counter while tourist who did not even buy one knives were more comfortably seated. Beside this, our associate English was good enough to answer any question we had but did not add extra info to the conversation or recommendations. She was nice but could have been saying shoes it would have been the same. Nevertheless we did end up buying four blue #2 knives and correspoonding sharpening stones. We could not resist and tried them as soon as we got back home. So happy that we are now thinking adding a Sujihiki to the family. It was an experience. I spent half my knife budget on a pair of knives. A 300mm sujihiki made with super blue. Pictures don’t do this knife justice.

The two people working were amazing and super nice. The gentleman is a salesman of the best kind. He didn’t try to push anything, gave me some space to browse and and answered my questions. He also threw in a few details about the knifes, you know the ones, the details that caught my attention and led to me buying.

I am looking forward to getting home and to work to try these out.
