A very special and signature cinnamon mochi that was not seen anywhere in Osaka! The mochi itself had an extremely velvety texture with mild and enduring cinnamon taste and smell! Even one may not like cinnamon, the taste and smell of cinnamon was not at all overpowering! This store actually had a long history! I happened to briefly talk to the owner, who spoke great English! He said he was the sixth generation who ran this business!

One is a little less than ¥200 and very much worth the trip from Osaka. Nice people inside and classic flavor. If you like traditional Japanese sweets at all, you need to stop here.

GREAT traditional wagashi shop! Pretty sure they are hundreds of years old. The main thing they sell is “cinnamon mochi” (called nee’key mochi in Japanese). One is a little less than ¥200 and very much worth the trip from Osaka. Nice people inside and classic flavor. If you like traditional Japanese sweets at all, you need to stop here.
