The Whisky Tasting Room 札幌店 — Local services in Sapporo

The tasting room is at ground level near the middle of the building. The store is divided into whiskey and the other side gin. The proprietor was well versed in what we wanted to taste, which was smokey and peaty. The first 5 ranged from slightly smokey to heavy smokey. The last was a blend from their oak cask, which was smooth and had vanilla notes. I ended up buying 2 bottles of the blend. This a great location to try whiskeys. I would like to thank Mr. Kenta Suzuki for taking the effort to recommend different drams, and going the extra mile to explain to me about the history of certain distilleries, bottles, and IBs in Scotland and Japan. He tried his best to do so in English, which I really appreciated.

Eventually bought the Glen Moray Whisky Sponge bottle, despite not originally intending to purchase any bottles on my first visit.
