An unforgettable stay in Takayama!

I highly recommend this house for anyone visiting Takayama. Our experience was amazing from the very beginning! The house is beautiful, full of charm and history, with a lovely mix of traditional Japanese and modern decor — every detail is carefully thought out.

The reception was incredibly warm, with a welcome message that made us feel right at home.

The atmosphere is super cozy and well-equipped. The living room is spacious, with a comfy sofa, TV, and a cozy coffee and tea corner that I absolutely loved — perfect for relaxing after a day of sightseeing.

The bedrooms are comfortable with great beds. I chose the Japanese-style room with tatami and futon, and it was such a special experience!

The kitchen is another highlight. You can simply stop by the market, grab the ingredients you love, and once you’re at the house, you’ll find absolutely everything you need to cook — pots, pans, utensils, and more. We made a delicious kare raisu (Japanese curry with rice) and had a great time cooking together.

The bathroom was clean and well-organized, and there’s an ofuro (Japanese-style bathtub) that you definitely should try — it’s pure relaxation.

I was pleasantly surprised to find they even had toys and a baby stroller for kids, which is super helpful when traveling as a family.

This is the kind of place where you can truly relax and enjoy quality time with friends or family without any worries — just enjoy.
