I ducked in here off the street for a warm coffee to avoid the cold. What I didn't expect was the experience it was going to be! The owner is incredibly nice and welcoming, and after I ordered a latte and Madeleine (both delicious by the way) he handed me a sudoku puzzle and told me if I solved it I would get a gift! This challenge was a gift enough for my brain, but I attacked the puzzle nonetheless with much gusto as I enjoyed my afternoon coffee. I won't spoil what the gift was (I solved the puzzle haha subtle flex), but let's just say that the interactive activities continued! The atmosphere was so fun and the little games encouraged everyone to chat and get to know each other and then I just stayed chatting with the owner a bit more before I was on my way. Such a pleasurable experience and my favourite coffee shop I've been...

I believe this was one of my best coffeeshops experiences ever! It was a sunny day where I was looking for a nice coffeeshop to figure out my days itinerary and then the staff hands me a sudoku and says if you solve it you get a prize! My eyes lit up and tried to figure out how to solve it even tho I have never solved one before. 20mins go by and I end up solving it, the staff checks it and it was correct! And then he made me pick one of the prizes and it was a... I'll let you find out when you go visit! 😄 Coffee was great! Cake was goood and staff very friendly and even gave me suggestions of places to visit...

Visited on a Saturday afternoon, wasn't too busy. Genuine 5 star place. The staff patience with my broken Japanese and my quirky order. We ordered iced pour over coffee with a splash of oat milk and the pumpkin cheesecake. The pour over coffee was very smooth and brewed perfectly with no acidic or bitter taste. The cheesecake was perfect- not too heavy, but balanced cheese and pumpkin tones without over powering each other. We even won a prize for solving the Sudoku and the staff commented how quickly. Lovely atmosphere to sit inside too.
