Some days it is hard to find but that only makes it better! And also it is not hard to find. Having said that, there are quite a few trails up in the hills and mountains all part of the kodo or local indigenous trail network. We almost got lost going up to the south side of the village for a different hike. Didn't see stamp at all, but that's not what we came here for. Just here for the local shrine

From J-Hoppers Kumano Yunomine Hostel, it's a 2 minute walk to this shrine where I got a stamp for my Kumano Kodo hike.

ここで、緑のオーブが出ました。 2年前？の秋ですが、その後 不思議な位に直ぐ問題解決し…。 私には、凄く神聖な場所に感じた3回目のお参りに来た時の事です。 今になって考えると、ご先祖様や龍神様の導きなのかなと思ってます。 つぼ湯の横から、少し登ると湯の峰王子神社？があって、熊野古道へ合流し、熊野大社まで行けます。 2回この道を歩き、この時はワンコが居たので、ここの神社迄だけ、歩きました。

It’s hidden at the back of the main dainichi trail. You need to make a small detour and walk up a little staircase, where you can find the kumano stamp. It’s very near to Tsuboyu onsen.

As of 27 November 2018, the stamp is out of ink though. It seems like a forgotten place, maybe due to it’s not so easy to find location. Hopefully someone will...
