The food in what seems to be only Yunomine Onsen’s only restaurant was surprisingly delicious. The broth of the ume-kombu soba was completely different from the kitsune udon, and the locally made soy sauce mochi was salty and toasted, yet soft and stretchy. They offer a simple menu that is available in English. There are only two seating areas - a large table or a lower, less comfortable log table (guess where we were forced to sit because we were two pax despite the teahouse being empty?).
