Naruto Taiyaki Honpo — Local services in Tokyo

My first time trying taiyaki and I was very pleased! I normally do not like red bean desserts so I tried their other flavors. Their sweet potato taiyaki is reminiscent of when my mother would snack on microwaved/steamed yams, but with a crunchier, improved texture from the outside pancake. I also tried the premium custard taiyaki and did not care for it - didn't really impart a great flavor and made my stomach hurt... though I am lactose intolerant haha. A little disappointed because I was looking forward to custard the most.

Not sure about the staff's level of English communication because I spoke in mostly rudimentary Japanese, but their body language and willingness to help out a foreigner...

During our visit to Akihabara, we went to this particular taiyaki location multiple times. We tried almost all of the flavors they offered at the time: red bean, sweet potato, and their seasonal peach flavor. They also had round ones that they served with either icy vanilla ice cream by itself or red bean and the ice cream. My mom and my favorite flavor was the original red bean taiyaki (the fish shaped ones).

Their taiyaki are not overly sweet and they are well-made! The staff are also super nice too. I recommend visiting this taiyaki stand if you are...

This place is a gem. Taiyakis are 300 yen each...this price can't be beat. The taiyakis were fairly big, crispy on the outside, and the filling was filled to the core. It's hot when it first comes out, but the filling tastes so much better this way. I also tried the green tea ice cream sandwiched between two light crackers. Equally delicious! There's some seating on the side, which was really nice to sit down and eat, instead of standing. All in all, I highly recommend stopping by when...
