Sou Sou is my favourite boutique to visit in the world. Inside the beautifully presented store you will find beautiful, colourful and unique patterns adorning a range of different products, from handbags to socks. The prices are incredibly reasonable for the beauty and quality of their products, and after years of heavy use even the dozens of socks that I have purchased have yet to present with a single hole. The handbags are incredibly comfortable and spacious, as well as easy to clean. The online shop is also available in English, so you can double check care instructions and the like there should you so require.
At the Tokyo store, staff are exceptionally polite and helpful, and in all visits there were even staff that spoke English. Regardless of the language barrier, service is always fantastic. Change rooms are also readily available.
There is no other brand like Sou Sou, and if you love its vibrant, creative style then this store is a must-visit for a enjoyable and fulfilling...
Read moreI had such a hard time trying to decide what to buy. There are just so many options to choose from. I mostly went to Sou Sou Kyoto because of the many options for jikatabi, and ended up buying two pairs of jikatabi (because of the current sale), a couple pairs of tabi socks, and some pants that used local fabrics that should keep me cool during the lingering summer heat. I will most likely come back again just to see what the new season brings. The shopkeeper, whose name I unfortunately did not get, was so very helpful in assisting on sizes and suggestions when I had so many questions about sizing and styling. I've left very happy with my purchases and will for sure be coming back just to see the new designs and styles.
Across the street was the Nordic styles. There were a pair of sweat pants what were the softest pair I've ever felt. I will definitely come back once it's colder...
Read moreCombining traditional Japanese kimono and mixing it with modern style, with striking patterns and all things spurred locally and made in Japan, Sou sou is a new favorite! Their style is one of the most unique. Most items are very well priced and affordable for most people. Perfect to pick up some unique souvenirs to take home. Once you make your first purchase, you'll come back for more! They have a point system that is quite generous and has no expiry date. There are two shops opposite of each other. The bigger one sells the main line, the smaller ones sell modernized versions and outfits for...
