[Update]: After my initial review, I engaged in a constructive conversation with the manager of Miroku Hair Salon. He assured me that steps would be taken to enhance the salon's services collectively as a team. While I declined their offer of compensation, as my aim was not personal gain, I appreciate their dedication to improving customer experiences. I commend their proactive approach and hope for the continued success of Miroku Hair Salon in providing quality service to its customers. Consequently, I've updated my rating from 1 star to 2 stars. This is the worst haircut experience I've ever had. I debated for a few days whether to write about it, but in the end, I decided to share my experience in the hope that you can take it seriously and improve.
Before my appointment, I had already explained what I wanted and requested an experienced and skilled hairdresser to attend to me.
Everything seemed fine when I arrived at your shop until the hair washing started. The assistant washing my hair had extremely long nails that kept scratching my face, and the water was spraying all over my face. I endured it because I thought maybe she was new, and I wanted to give her a chance, not wanting to be an unfriendly customer.
When the perming process started, I felt that the whole situation was chaotic (both the hairdresser and the assistant). As a result, I ended up with a burnt experience, and neither the hairdresser nor the assistant was nearby. I had to raise my hand for help like a student. The hairdresser kept apologizing afterward, and I accepted it. But come on, wasn't I repeatedly asking for an experienced and professional hairdresser from the beginning?
Before starting the hair process, the price was already discussed with me. However, when it came time to pay, they told me a price that was a hundred dollars more than what was initially quoted??? They wanted to charge me extra even after burning my ear and back neck and not compensating me? Thankfully, I questioned whether they remembered correctly, and they finally reverted to the original price. Meanwhile, there were a few colleagues sitting in the background giggling, making me feel like I was being laughed at (maybe I'm overthinking, but the whole process made the me extremely uncomfortable).
Finally, I won't name names because I don't think it's just one person's fault; it's the whole team and company that have issues. I hope that after reading this message, you will try to improve rather than getting defensive. And after such an unpleasant experience, I won't be returning...

Most if not all of the staff here always spoke Mandarin, since it's not my first time here, it was easy to recognise this stylist I got today was new. I had never seen her and she also could only speak English, which I am fluent in so I didn't mind. This comes in later.
I came in with chest length hair and bangs that were poking me in my eyes. That means my bangs were also long enough to cut it into air bangs. I showed photos to the stylist, for air bangs, and for a short bob just right above my shoulders, I pointed to the middle of my neck. I ended up with a haircut that ends at my chin. Moreover, the photos had straight bob, but she kept curling the ends into a round bob. With the short length, I literally look like a mushroom. She spent so much time trimming the back of my hair, and only spent 5 minutes on my bangs. I understand air bangs are better understood in Chinese, so I asked if she could speak Mandarin, she couldn't, so I explained that I used to have air bangs, but now it has gotten too thick, so it needs some thinning, and proceeded to show her some photos. In the end, she only cut a straight line, my bangs are still as thick as ever. I understand stylists also round the sides of the bangs to be longer than the middle, when she did it, the shape was not smooth and I pointed it out. She asked if I wanted it to be straight, meaning the same length throughout. I said no, but just smoothen the curve, but she ended up cutting it straight anyways. Mind you, when I showed the reference photos of the bob, she was even shocked and asked, har you want it that short? I told her no, just a bit longer, which is the middle of my neck, it's...

upset by the lack of understanding by the elderly hairdresser there. i asked for the ends of my hair to be bleached but he ended up dyeing my entire head. this is probably due to language issue (i am still learning mandarin and tried to use it but he got it wrong, that is the last time i try to use mandarin at a hairstylist) however i showed him clear examples of only the ends being bleached many times and he just nodded as he continued bleaching my hair, and i assumed he knew what he was doing. after i fully stopped him he then blamed me for not using the word highlights, but that shouldnt even be my fault as i showed him clear references where the lady in the picture had black hair and green ends (which i wanted to change to blonde instead of green) another hairdresser came over and then suggest to redye my entire hair ash grey with the blonde streaks and i went with it, overall spending far longer than i wanted to at the salon. in the end i dont really hate the final product, but i am incredibly upset that my whole hair was dyed, as i know i dont have the time to maintain dyed hair with the special shampoo, touchups etc which was why i only wanted to bleach the ends, as well as my hair gets incredibly dried out and im allergic to bleach at my roots (my head was totally numb and then itchy for the next day) overall i was recommended by my brother due to the aesthetics and âthat they would explain everything they didâ and while the place was nice, due to this i wont...
