I had a highly disappointing experience at Craft Cafe with my friends today. While the food was decent, our visit was ruined by a very serious hygiene issue. We noticed several dogs running around freely in the restaurant. These dogs were not only jumping onto customersâ tables and licking food and plates, but they even went as far as licking our handbags, leaving food residue on them. This is extremely unhygienic and unacceptable for a dining environment.
For nearly two hours, my friends and I were repeatedly disturbed by these dogs, which continued to jump up and lick our belongings. The customers at the table next to us were also very upset and even complained to a staff, but the staff seemed helpless and did nothing to resolve the situation. They simply said that the dogs belonged to other customers, not the cafe. This kind of response is irresponsible and shows a lack of professionalism.
I strongly suggest that the management check todayâs CCTV footage(1/9/2024, 1/40pm) to see how outrageous this situation was. Youâll see that not only were we affected, but the two female customers next to us were also visibly unhappy and expressed their dissatisfaction strongly to the staff. If your cafe allows pets, there should be a designated area for them, and strict rules should be in place to ensure they do not disturb or compromise the hygiene of other customers.
This is a very serious hygiene problem that demands immediate attention. Plates and cutlery that have been licked by dogs, even if washed afterward, should not be used to serve food to customers. It is highly unprofessional and poses potential health risks. I hope the management takes this feedback seriously and makes urgent improvements to both the cleanliness standards and the competence...
Read moreIt's a cosy and nice cafe. The first thing I noticed was that it's a spacious and bright cafe with neutral/warm tones. Ambience is very nice with glamping decoration, lots of plants (mix of real and fake) and staffed by a very young workforce.
I had the cheesy chicken chop (RM30) and creamy salted egg yolk pasta with grilled chicken (RM26). The cheesy chicken chop tasted just like KFC's cheezy wedges, and the creamy salted egg yolk pasta was really good - not too rich, nice salted egg yolk flavour. Portion sizes were quite good.
You can also get your photos printed on your cup of coffee here, but be warned that the photo fades super fast, like within a few minutes. So spam your camera and take as many pics as you can/want, because soon it'll be gone!
I tried the coconut coffee cake (RM16.90) too, but unfortunately it was nothing to shout about. The coffee taste was quite overpowering so I couldn't really taste any coconut.
Overall, a good place to hang out. Lots of uni students come here to study or work on their laptops too. Oh and it's a pet friendly cafe, so feel free to bring your furry friends along.
Edit: came back and tried the apple tea, chicken curry don and carbonara spaghetti. The fried chicken was good and portion is quite sizeable too. Carbonara tasted a bit like artificial seasoning but still acceptable. The egg on the curry don is fully cooked omelette rather than the creamy kind that you find in typical Japanese restaurants. I had the tiramisu (RM18) for dessert which was delicious although the portion was tiny! Would 100% come back for the tiramisu - the coffee was kawkaw and the balance of sweetness...
Read moreWent for dinner since itâs pretty catchy and popular. It was slightly crowded at the time around 8pm. Its located on second floor.
Had ordered carbonara + grilled chicken, wonderland(waffle), tiramisu and rose latte.
I like how the carbonara comes with small side dish, the spag was nicely cooked but for me the grilled chicken was so so.
Love the wonderland waffle, the mangoes tasted sweet (like marinated but i love it) and the waffle has crispy crust and soft texture inside. It was a nice match with the earl grey ice cream.
Had ordered rose latte as im not a coffee lover. Had gotten my art printed on top and it looks cute. When the order is placed (I had ticked the print box) the waiter will approach you and direct you to the coffee printing machine. Scan the QR code and upload the photo (it will be locked and displayed with everyones photo). Let the waiter know its uploaded and they will serve it to your table. For me rose latte tasted interesting.
The tiramisu is cute and nicely matched. Personally felt that the sponge cake was soaked well but my friend said it was a bit dry. Overall the desserts are nicely made and instagram-able.
Love the ambience here, would consider having a tea session...
