From my experience, the volunteers are okay for venting and stuff. But if you need any kind of advice or solutions, no. They don't really give you advice. Instead they would ask you repeatedly about "how can you be better, how do you think you can handle this etc" and when i shared about how my mental health is affecting my focus, they said i just need to be more passionate and determine about what I'm doing then I will get the focus back?? As if I'm not trying? I don't even determined to be alive how do i be determined to do my tasks? I tried though, But I still couldn't. So it breaks my heart a little when she told me that. As if I'm not trying my best to get my tasks done :') And they were too busy praising me instead of focusing on my problems. Ofc I would love to be praised but read the room(?) I'm sharing and ranting about my mental health issues and you go like "your English is so good" Hello?? 😭😅 How does that makes any sense? And they also said I sound cheerful.
