Did a Mera Peak Climbing tour together with Lhakpa and it was an amazing adventure. He is well experienced as trekking & climbing guide (13 times on Mera Peak) and speaks a good English.

Everything worked fine and he organized the trip perfectly. Before starting the trip he checked with us our equipment and told us what we will additionally need. So we could purchase/rent the equipment beforehand for a cheaper price than in higher altitude villages. According the weather and closed teahouses because of winter he adjusted the itinerary for us so we could reach the Mera peak although we have been late for this season. Additionally he explained us a lot about the Sherpa culture and budishm. So we could learned a lot about Nepal during our trek and a cared for us all the time. I travelled with Khumbu Excursions to do their Everest Base Camp trek. It was incredible right from the start. The team set up a whatsapp group as soon as we booked so we could stay in contact and ask as many questions as we wanted which was really reassuring. Throughout the trek I've never felt more supported by a company. Father and son duo Lakpa and Phurba were our guides and we had the most supportive and friendly porters to help. I couldn't fault them. They are kind, caring and very knowledgeable. Sadly I didn't make it to base camp due to altitude sickness but the care and attention I received from the guides to help get me down to safety was fantastic. They checked in with me daily once I was back in kathmandu waiting for my friends to return. They helped arrange a hotel for me all whilst they were on the trek.
