Almere Centrum — Local services in Almere

There are no toilets. The piano is a really nice addition and the fact that there are some necessary kiosks. The worst experience was when during one very windy they they cancelled all the trains. And then kept us inside and told us that we cannot go anywhere because of the wind. We have to spend there over two hours till they let us go home. Of course no trains that day. Otherwise okay. When I visited Almere Stad around 30 years ago, this whole site was still a flat grassland, with a railway station out of nowhere. I remember taking a train from here to Amsterdam.

2017, this station is called Almere Centrum. I visited this train station quite a lot since it is one of the bigger stations, where you can catch an intercity train to Lelystad or Amsterdam.

Sadly, I agree with other reviews. This station desperately needs at least a makeover. Almere...

Incredible how in 2024 there’s still stations like this one that completely disregard disabled people. My boyfriend that is slowly going back to work after a major accident and has to use a crutch, and can’t walk stairs, had to walk a huge flight of stairs because elevators were turned off as well as the escalators. What a joke. Highly encourage who is in charge to actually think about disabled and unabled people. If it were to affect them, everything would work...
