This is a great place to eat in Amsterdam. It's not cheap but it depends of what you are looking for and your expectations as well. They have fresh meat of great quality aa well as healthy sides freshly made in their kitchen. A lovely girl attended us and gave us a 10 out of 10 service!!! We tried the new Zealand meat and beef fajitas with the best french fries we've ever had! The girl( and Im sorry not knowing her name, damn it!) Told us the french fries are natural and made from scratch in the kitchen, not frozen ever!! Everything was delicious and it was in front of the Vondelpark so we took a long walk afterwards and the marvelous meal we just had was enough for us and well digested by our sensitive stomachs. Thank you so much!! (PS: We left a tip even if it's not accustomed as the service was delightful as well as the food. And took food home with us to taste it before our trip back home to Florida. What an amazing experience! We went there with my hubby and daughter. They have a special home made chicken nuggets that she devoured! As an entree, I got the grilled scallops turned out so tasteful and the avocado source super soft, excellent combination. My husband got the carpaccio, that disappeared from the plate in seconds, his verdict was it delicious. For the main I got the gambas and he got the Argentinian fillet, and as Argentinians both we were surprised about the quality and the taste of the fillet, truly outstanding. We combined the dinner with a soft and tasteful Malbec wine. As desert we got ice cream and from daughter to husband everyone was very pleased. All meals were on time, we even got the chicken nuggets first, as parents we know this detail makes a huge difference on how the night is gonna go, no one wants to deal with a hungry child, besides the food being great the service was also up to the standard, everyone was extra nice surrounded by a peaceful atmosphere. Having read the great reviews, I was expecting to see the restaurant's 'Beste Steakhouse' title justified, but eventually left underwhelmed.

We had the spare ribs and the New Zealand fillet. They both tasted good, but nothing exceptional. The marinated ribs were a bit too sweet, the steak was quite good, though. I couldn't get the potato wedges due to gluten intolerance, so the waitress recommended french fries and salad instead. They were as basic as they can get; I wouldn't be surprised if the fries had come from a freezer. The service was fine but had some confusing moments around food intolerances.

All in all, I don't regret going there but don't agree with the 5 star reviews. The food and service we received did not justify the prices, especially when compared with other similar...
