I want everyone to know, Not to visit this shop, Spend your monies elsewhere. My wife My daughter and Son in law walked in Yesterday to purchase Sun block, Coffee and souvenirs to take back home. The woman would not speak to us when we asked her questions and another family walked in after us They asked her a question and she immediately answered. My daughter thought “ Maybe she didn’t hear us” So she asked again. She just ignored her. I was picking up little plastic signs to take back home and she walked in front of me and stared at me as if I were going to shoplift. I was very embarrassed. I put the things back on the metal hooks and waited outside. My wife walked over to the register( My family was sure they had 2 registers, As they waited to pay Another family walked in and she waited on them, Yet we were standing ( My Daughter and Son in law) in line before the other family. The other customer looked over and asked “ Where you here before us? My daughter said yes. The woman just said sorry and walked away. ( Not her fault) My daughter AGAIN asked her a question about Cigars or Cigarettes THE WOMAN IGNORED US. All of a sudden it dawned on me. We are a Mixed color family. Well I will be writing this event on EVERY PLACE I CAN! I have never had this happen to me EVER. We chose Aruba AGAIN because of the diversity of people and how beautiful everyone is. Apparently not at the Market. Yelp, Google, Facebook, tick toc and any media that allows me to write this… I will, I was left in shock and it made us all feel badly. No one should be made to feel this way, Those...
Read moreI stay at the Aruba Beach Club every year and enjoy the pastichi's in the morning. The cashier today at 8:45 AM (Thursday May 8th) was rude and condescending. I said thank you after my purchase and she didn't even look at me or reply with a "your welcome". I said thank you again and she had a mean look to her and sarcastically said.. "your welllllcome...come againnnnnn... See you tomorrrrrow" in an extremely rude manner like I was bothering her ! We come to Aruba to have our once a year getaway from working hard and saving to enjoy ourselves...not to be belittled by a cashier that really seems like she doesn't like tourist... Maybe she would benefit from additional training or having a conversation that the rest of the islands service staffs are warm and inviting...It really deters me to continue to purchase items at your market... Thank you...
Read moreOur resort was a two minute’s walk from The Market, so we stopped here several times during our stay. The prices were very fair but the selection wasn’t anything spectacular. As far as food, they had bread, rotisserie chicken, fruit, some Dutch cheeses, one or two processed lunch meats, and a whole bunch of chips, candies, and other prepackaged snack foods. They had a good variety of drinks and mixers at good prices. They also had travel necessities like sunscreen and toiletries as well as souvenirs, beach/pool toys, and snorkeling gear. Overall, this was a great place to buy alcohol and miscellaneous stuff that we forgot to pack, but if you’re wanting to buy proper fresh food you’ll still need to go to a...
