Crater Rim Walks — Local services in Christchurch

The crater rim walk tour was by far one of our most memorable days on our New Zealand Australia holiday! Beautiful scenery is what I enjoy and look for when traveling and this tour was a bullseye.

Nicole is an absolute doll! We travel more than the average and rarely ever have a tour operator reach out the day before and let you know the weather might not be at its best for your to love your day offering you the opportunity to cancel, change days, or change up the tour a bit. This let me know that these guys care about your happiness with them more than the money. I am soooo glad we decided to just stick with the walk as planned because we wanted those views rain or shine. We lucked out with mostly shine, but Nicole carried along umbrellas and ponchos for us just in case.

The walk was spectacular, views stunning, lunch was delicious, and Nicole’s commentary and stories about the area was priceless. I would highly recommend this tour! Our hosts for the Crater Rim walk were most kind and hospitable. They provided walking sticks, backpacks and water bottles plus a lovely lunch picnic by the water. We had a lovely day and quite a walk. Be sure that you prepare yourself for walking ten miles. Another tip is put on sunscreen because you will be outside for four to six hours. This is a family owned and operated business, and they provide a wonderful introduction to the beauty of New Zealand. My husband and I recently completed a walk on Banks Peninsula with Nicole as our guide. The walk and scenery was beautiful and Nicole was a fantastic walking companion. We were provided with lunch, snacks, water bottles, and a backpack for the day. Nicole was extremely knowledgeable and was able to give us an overview of Christchurch's history and answer any and all questions that we had during the day.
