🌟 5Star Vietnamese – Truly Lives Up to Its Name! 🇻🇳

Tried out 5Star Vietnamese recently and was genuinely impressed by both the flavor and presentation.

🥢 Fresh Spring Rolls – Light, crisp, and packed with herbs, prawns, and vermicelli. The peanut dipping sauce on the side was rich and creamy, perfectly tying it all together. A great way to start the meal!

🍜 5-Star Fried Vermicelli – This dish was a standout! Smoky wok-fried vermicelli, topped with crispy shallots, lemongrass chicken, and just the right hint of spice. It had that perfect balance of texture—crispy edges with soft noodles underneath.

🍚 5-Star Special Broken Rice – A total flavour bomb. The grilled pork chop was juicy and marinated to perfection, paired with a crispy spring roll, shredded pork skin, and a soft egg. The rice was fragrant and fluffy, and the fish sauce drizzle brought everything together.

Service was friendly, food came out fast, and the portions were generous. Highly recommend if you’re after authentic, satisfying Vietnamese in town.

Want there today with my cousin. We both had fresh summer rolls, pork and shrimp and shredded pork. Both were pretty good actually, I would just at least add some herbs like cilantro. Now it is just iceberg lettuce. Then we had a pho. Pho Bo Tai and their special Pho. To be honest, I think this is a mile away from what the pho should look like. The broth was too sweet, at least it has the smell of the spices usually used for the pho broth. The noodles were not pho at all - should be the flat ones. Also there was literally one leaf of cilantro in the whole soup, which is a shame. No fish sauce or lemon and chilli served. Also no garlic (Giam toi ot). Upon request, we received the sweet and sour sauce with little bits of garlic in it. I guess better than nothing. The meat was ok, nothing wrong with that. To sum it up, in my opinion this is not the authentic Vietnamese restaurant. The food is decent, is not bad, but what I had the chance to taste was not...

Extremely disappointed. Not 5 star resturant from me! I usually come here, but after tonight waiting 1 hour 20 mins and in that time we only got one entree and a drink. waiter avoiding coming back to table as they knew we have been waiting a while. We were a table of 4 booked and arrived at 5.30pm. When we arrived the resturant was pretty much empty. They still took our money for the drink and entree! No apology! I noticed whilst waiting they were busy trying to clear the takeaway backlog as there was 6 customers waiting there for 30 mins. so this was first priority over resturant customers. The resturant was full by about 6 and people started going up to the counter asking how much longer they have to wait. I heard them say they were short staffed but I heard them say that the last time I was there which was over a month ago. We ended up walking out with empty tummies as we had enough of waiting. Very very sad...
