5 Stars â My Go-To CafĂ© for Comfort, Quality, and Incredible Sausage Rolls!Every once in a while, you come across a cafĂ© that just gets it rightâand for me, thatâs Columbus Coffee. From the moment I stepped in, I was greeted with a warm atmosphere, friendly smiles, and the rich, comforting aroma of freshly brewed coffee. The vibe was relaxed yet vibrant, the perfect balance whether youâre catching up with a friend, diving into some work, or simply enjoying a peaceful moment to yourself. Now let me talk about that sausage rollâbecause wow, it deserves its own paragraph.Iâve had my fair share of sausage rolls over the years, but the one I had at Columbus Coffee? Easily the best Iâve tasted. The pastry was golden and flaky, the kind that gently crumbles with each bite but never falls apart in your hands. And the fillingâoh my goodnessâthe perfect balance of seasoning, quality meat, and just the right amount of herbs and spices. Juicy, flavorful, and cooked to absolute perfection. It wasnât greasy, it wasnât bland, it was just⊠delicious. Paired with one of their velvety flat whites, it made for a ridiculously satisfying brunch that Iâm still thinking about days later. The service was another standout. The staff were attentive without being overbearing, genuinely friendly, and even made a few great recommendations from the menu. Everything felt clean, well-maintained, and thoughtfully put togetherâfrom the cozy seating to the presentation of the food.I also love how Columbus Coffee sources fresh, local ingredients. You can really taste the quality in every bite, and it adds a special something that makes each visit feel a little more personal and special. Their menu is diverse enough to please anyone, with heaps of tasty, wholesome options that cater to different diets and preferences. All in all, Columbus Coffee has quickly become one of my favorite spots. Whether youâre in for a quick coffee or a slow, soul-warming meal, youâre in for a treat. I canât recommend them enoughâand trust me, you have to try the...
Read moreIts a shame i have to give a less than satisfactory review on a place where most staff are absolutely lovely & very helpful and attentive but unfortunately not all staff are that way and it ruins it for everyone else. I'm building my first ever fence and of corse I miscalculated how many palings I needed so the second day I went back in and got more, I noticed one of them had a massive crack so I took it back and it was replaced no issue, I got back home and realised that night I was still short on palings so I went in again the next day I took two of my already cut palings as reference, I had the receipt and the guy took measurements of my paling, I stupidly walked inside to grab my click n collect order and was loading it when the man brought my palings over and I was in a rush so I just chucked it all in and paid when I got home I realised that the palings he had cut looked notably diffrent in size to what I had given him for reference so I went back to be told no refunds or swapping out once cut thats it. Well thats really disappointing when it was the lack of attention by the guy cutting the wood whom had measurements, and a paling for reference and still couldnt get it right or just didn't care to get it right and took advantage because he had the opportunity. I ended up having to buy more cut palings to be able to finish my fence. I was really enjoying the experience until that one encounter. I would like to note that Josh helped me out when I returned to try sort the paling dilemma and he went above and beyond with attention to detail, showing empathy, great communication and just seemed like an all round great guy, which really lifted the mood of the situation. Moral of the story, pay close attention to whats being given to you and always check to make sure its correct...
Read moreDefinitely not a client-driven company. Managers unprepared (too old fashion and attached to non-sense procedures) and ONLY focused on the penny they might be losing in a deal. Besides their slogan (15% lower price guaranteed) they are definitely not the cheapest store, at least not in Christchurch. In my case, I found exactly the same fridge they were selling in another store almost 50% cheaper, and when I asked them to beat the price as promised in their advertisement, I had to cope with moody and upset managers telling me things such as "I don't want to sell you this product, I rather give you a couple of bucks and not having you buy this", "I'm losing money". Even worse was having to listen "I don't WANT/NEED do anything else for you than what is strictly written in my rules" when asking for some flexibility in the deal. I surely know they don't NEED either to help or to be nice with a client, but, dealing with such massive company in the 21st century, I did expect to find a more client-driven company and some flexibility, not to say a much better treatment from their manager. I'm 100% disappointed with the company. I left the store feeling fully disappointed and frustrated, with the "I don't NEED to do that" sentence echoing in my head. As I asked the manager, in fact, as I begged the manager, it was not a matter of what they needed to do, but what they could have done without impacting the deal in one single cent! That's a shame! An unacceptable and nonsense behavior to not say more...
