Iāve been climbing there for a couple of months now after taking a break for several years. The location is very convenient, with easy parking, a great cafĆ©, and excellent facilities. The staff are also incredibly friendly and helpful.
This afternoon, I had a migraine crisis after drinking some coffee (my mistake), and I really needed a dark, quiet room to recover. A huge thanks to Ezral (not sure if thatās the correct name) for providing that space for meāit was incredibly kind and helpful. Without it, I have no idea how I would have managed in that situation.šš½šš½šš½šš½
Edit: 08/04/2025
Something happened yesterday afternoon (07/04/2025) that left me feeling frustrated and concerned about safety.
While I was climbing, there were still people stretching in a very small area right next to the climbing wall (near Vertical Board One Climbing Board). At one point, someone walked through the narrow space between me and the wall while I was mid-problem. I jumped down at the same time and didnāt realize there were people stretching and walking so close by. Thankfully, it was only a V3 and not very high, but I still hurt my back trying to avoid hitting anyone.
I tried to calmly speak to a staff member nearby, but he seemed to ignore me. I waited for him to be free, hoping to explain what happened and raise some concerns about health and safetyābut I felt completely dismissed. I just wanted to let someone know that stretching shouldnāt happen in such a tight space near active climbing areas, and that people shouldnāt walk so close to the wall where others are climbing.
Honestly, the way I was ignored made me feel really uncomfortableālike I was being a nuisance just for speaking up about safety. That interaction left me feeling...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreBeen climbing here for quite awhile, itās a great gym!
Itās such a big space which has been well utilised to include a great variety of walls for just about any style of problem. Theyāve also got a campus board, a spray wall and two moon boards (25&45 degrees). Hard to get bored climbing there! The setting is also really interesting and fun, though itās pretty dry theyāve only got dudes doing it, bit old fashioned lol.
There is also a well equipped gym upstairs, which is such a plus for the already reasonably priced membership.
On top of all that theyāve got a cafe, which has great vegan options if youāre into that š coffee is⦠ok.
Gets really busy at peak times, so if youāre prone to over stimulation would recommend going during the day, itās a...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreClimber from abroad, came for a single visit. Nice staff, great facilities, good training area that is essentially a full gym, and two moon boards at different angles. Really happy to see that they do a full induction for new climbers to ensure safe climbing. Unfortunately, I didnāt enjoy the climbing much: the holds were lower-mid tier and quite worn, and in my opinion the setting was lacking flow, quite jerky, often with risky moves, and quite reliant on dynos in the higher grades. The 25 degree moon board was set so close to the 40 degree moon board that it was unsafe to use the upper right hand side of the board - not ideal. This gym could be a 5 star gym if they upgraded their holds and worked on...
