On visiting the store for the first time. Once I was over the kool "newest store factor". Nothing exceptional especially so given this is Farmers newest store. - Of course bear in mind, we are not here to appreciate the view of the architectural wonder. We are here to "shop - buy and look at product. As long as the background allows us to do that then fine. Like a well designed website, Farmers "background noise" used a lot of white and sparkling light to view new items against.
In terms of layout and standard; an exact replica of the other stores around Auckland. I wanted to find the Mens department, which; was located in its normal place, up the elevator stairs and to the rear of the store.
Parking Something I appreciate when shopping in Malls, is the get in get out quick factor. - Especially as parking at Dressmart mall is an example of how terrible that experience can be, along with the incessantly long time to find a park.
There is ample parking just outside of Farmers Department store, Use the new parking access - Car park 1 or 2 at the Southern end to be closer.
Note for Elderly shopping As I have mentioned Farmers Store stretches over 2 floors with escalators to ease your journey. The department store square footage is very large. For elderly people who might wish to peruse as they shop, this may become either uncomfortable or tiring. Apart from asking the attendants to provide seating;
Taking advantage of Farmers online internet shopping Make use of their online shopping facility and do your 'perusing" there. That will help you minimize the time spent in store.
Farmers Store Layout As Farmers store layout follows the same design everywhere, including the location of departments. You should be able to check their online shopping layout to make sure of where you need to go instore;
Foot Traffic - Using Google Maps to advantage An important facility provided through Google maps is a time based, customer visit frequency. This is an 24 hour bar graph that shows what time traffic is in store. This shows the peak and quiet times. This assists you by providing information that could help you to plan your...
Read moreThe worst shopping experience I had in Farmers!!! I was told by the sales person this chair have 3 in stock in the warehouse. just need to wait for 2-3days to transfer it to the mall, then I will get a call to pick up when it arrives. So I ordered and paid for it in advanced. After waiting for 2 weeks, no call no text no email no any contact. I went to the mall to ask same sales person, then he check in his system and told me it is still in the warehouse just need to wait 2 more days without any sorry or explanation. After another week waiting without another updates or respond, I went to the mall again and I was told by a manger that they don’t have in store now and I need to wait it until next year! This is super annoying and unacceptable! The manager said what they can do is refund for me which is a very ineffective solution as I have been waiting such long time. We try to talk to him to see what else they can do. Then he said he will double check their warehouse tomorrow and give me a call. Two days later, I was surprised they got the chair for me. However, when I open the package, obviously this is not a brand new one as there are many scratches on the wheels! The chair seems to be used for a long time!!!!!! How dare FARMERS sell customers an used item without any notification especially when customer paid for brand new price!!!!!!! The box was nicely been packed which is hard to tell it is an used item, however when you open the package………. I was totally feeling cheated!!!!! I bought so many stuffs from Farmers, but this time make me so disappointed and will never buy from Sylvia Park Farmers...
Read moreSo I will Share my experience with all, I was shopping yesterday with my wife and Son who isn't even two years of age yet. We were then approached by a loss prevention rent A cop poser who doesn't even have the faintest idea on the law. He admitted that when he was harassing us to search our shopping bags while we were still shopping in the store, we hadn't left yet, and where in no hurry to leave or close to the exit when we where approached. The situation soon excallated as I stated where still in the store shopping, why are you harassing us have we left the store with any goods of yours. I was also wanting a men's side bag and I asked him numerous times why don't you want to search this bag too, he admitted that he didn't know why he couldn't search it and admitted you learn something every day I was in the security industry for 10 years in Australia and cant believe the conduct in this store there was even a young customer female who offered if there was anything she could do to mediate because she could see we were just a family shopping and where harassed on appearance because I'm heavily tattooed and also racially profiled I than was told that I couldn't film the in the store so I couldn't film for our safety. The store manager was young and clueless too well homewares manager apparently but yeah this experience I wouldn't wish upon anyone and I will be talking with my lawyer's about everything that took place. There are plenty of Farmer's I recommend shop elsewhere as I've never had any problems at any other...
