I am extremely disappointed with the service and would never recommend Bayride Motorcycle.
I have been a customer with Bayride ever since I purchased my first bike back in 2015.
In January 22 I took my Kawasaki 650 into Bayride for a warrant and service as it hadn’t been serviced for 2 years and it had done 15000k.
A short time later, the bike was put into storage as I did some travelling. 10 months later I got my bike back and went for a short ride. The bike didn’t feel right so I inspected and noticed there was no coolant.
I removed the cover panel and could see that the tank reservoir was cracked. 2 out of 3 of the cover clips that attach it to the bike were broken. This would only be possible if someone removed the cover forcefully or incorrectly. One of the cover clips attach to the reservoir tank where it was cracked.
There was no other damage to the bike. I sent photos to Bayride to help explain the above.
They stated that they never removed the cover or touched the coolant even though I had paid them to service my bike. This made me more suspicious…
In the same response they stated “Also, with how long ago this was coming up a year ago. Unfortunately, I can’t help with repair”
I hadn’t even ask them to fix it.
And to complete my service, they forgot to add the WoF sticker...
Read moreJust had a pleasure of purchasing my new Yamaha Tracer 900GT from these guys. This vision from their website : "Bayride will be New Zealand's most trusted and easiest motorcycle company to do business with, customers will want to buy from us and we will enjoy doing business with them. " truly does represent their service. Since my first contact with Mal through their listing on trade me all through the process of organising finance, trade in on my old bike, insurance, hand over etc. Mal's customer service was second to none. When I went to pick up the bike it even had a sign stand next to it with a nice note. Incredible service! Mal went to a great length to explain every detail about the bike, purchase contract, service requirements etc. This was by a long shot the best service I've received from a motorcycle shop and I've dealt with Cyclespot, Cycletreads, Réd Baron and purchased total of 5 bikes from new. Just before I took off even the owner Damian came out to meet me and thank me for purchasing bike from them. For this kind of service it is well worth of travelling 200+kilometers from Auckland and the ride is nice along old Tauranga Road. Highly recommended bike shop, Mal is a top seller and you can see that he loves and...
Read moregreat staff! older fulla upstairs is friendly, knowledgeable, welcoming and has a great sense of humor! They have a huge selection of riding gear, and if they don't have it in store they will order it in for you.
Parts for bikes are available, with a huge selection either on site or within a few days order time.
I strongly recommend you have a high level of self control if you visit bayride... their selection of bikes is excellent, there is something for riders of all skill levels and budget, and all bikes in store are in pristine showroom condition. Those triumphs (especially the scrambler) will softly call your name like the sweet serenade of a road angel.. and with easy finance options available and your complete lack of financial responsibility, willpower or a wife to hold you back, you can and will ride out of there on what will be one of the best purchases of your life since you visited that massage parlour in...
