Guysers — Hotel in North Island

After spending 7 great nights at Guysers hosted by the friendliest welcoming hosts Peter & Mike who went out of their way to ensure they did everything to make my stay a fully enjoyable one.||||I chose to stay here from a recommendation and having the "Clothing Optional" choice gave me a home from home experience as well which was a nice to have for me but you can choose not too as well.||||The room was very welcoming with nice touches and, of a very high standard being immaculately clean. High quality bedding sheets which I noticed instantly when I climbed into bed which to me shows the standard set here. ||||A great welcome book full of information regarding the accommodation and about the local area including restaurants as well. ||||I loved the outdoor area for soaking up the sun along with the covered inner area with a very clean inviting Hot Tub .||||Breakfast was exceptional with a different cooked option each day and the French Toast Brekki was 10/10. Easy to locate with off street parking. Very close to sights and city center. Hosts are so friendly and helpful, with knowledge of the area to help maximize your stay in Rotorua. Breakfast is delicious with a nice window to seat you at the table and start your day. Meals in town are recommended and varied to suit your budget and diet. |Rooms and toilet areas are SPOTLESS. Warm in winter, house is secure and quite with good dark rooms if you need to sleep in the daytime. Peter has a fantastic DJ booth if you want him to entertain with an extensive library of pumping tunes. Mike is a twinkle fingers on the piano if you can sing a tune or rip a yarn.|In room coffee, tea with ultra fast WiFi (2k) Never bothered the TV as there was always too much fun to be enjoying. Great selection of pillows, quality sheets and bed was SO comfortable. Robes are best sized 16stone and less or better yet talk to the hosts on dress code. |First choice for our next visit to the area or if I am heading north...

Our first visit to Guysers, but we will definitely be back. Mike and Peter are ideal hosts, very helpful and agreeable, making us very welcome in their home: the rules are few, reasonable and clear. The facilities are all we could ask and spotlessly clean. The breakfast is generous. We had a different cooked breakfast each morning. Mike and Peter make their own jam from local fruit and some they grow themselves, and it is excellent!|There are two fully equipped bedrooms, one with an ensuite and sliding doors leading to the spa pool, the other with a roomy extra bed. Guysers is clothes-optional, but there's no pressure and no expectations.|Guysers is over the road from Kuirau Park, where there is a free public geothermal footbath, and free views of boiling and mud pools.
