An Unforgettable Experience at "Bate Bate Chocolate"

My recent visit to "Bate Bate Chocolate" in Granada, Costa Rica, was an absolute delight, and I can't wait to share my experience! From the moment we stepped into the aromatic world of chocolate, we knew we were in for a treat.

Our tour guide, Angel, was the heart and soul of the experience. His infectious energy and enthusiasm made the tour incredibly engaging. Right from the start, Angel welcomed us with a big smile and a passion for chocolate that was absolutely contagious. He immediately made everyone feel at home, setting the stage for a fun and interactive tour.

Angel took us on a fascinating journey through the world of chocolate, explaining the different products that "Bate Bate Chocolate" offers. From rich dark chocolate bars to creamy milk chocolate truffles, each product was crafted with precision and love. Angel shared intriguing insights into the history of chocolate and its cultural significance in Costa Rica, making the experience educational as well as delicious.

One of the highlights of the tour was the opportunity to grind cocoa beans ourselves. Angel demonstrated the traditional technique, and then it was our turn! It was exhilarating to be part of the chocolate-making process, and Angel's guidance made it even more enjoyable. We laughed, learned, and, of course, tasted our creations, which were divine.

The tour concluded with a tasting session that left our taste buds dancing. Angel encouraged us to savor each bite, and he was right—each piece was a little slice of heaven. The atmosphere was filled with laughter and chocolate-induced happiness, making it an experience I'll cherish.

Overall, "Bate Bate Chocolate" was a sweet escape from the ordinary. If you find yourself in Granada, Costa Rica, this tour is a must-do. Angel and his team at "Bate Bate Chocolate" have created a magical chocolate wonderland that promises fun, flavor, and...

Visited on October 14th. Definitely a tourist trap. Was brought here by our horse and buggy tour guide. They offer a free tour but there is not much shown other than how the natives use to grind down the beans. At the end we were offered an assortment of chocolate to try. Even had a delicious chocolate tea and rum infused drinks. Unfortunately it must be some bait and switch scam because I purchased 2 bottles and both were harsh and bitter. Very much tasted as if gone bad or passed expiration. Very sad to experience this so be mindful if you choose to visit here.

Edit: took a picture of what it looks like the...

The most fun I had in Granada. You get to learn a lot about how chocolate is made, and to create your own drink right from the cocoa beans, then a chocolate bar of your favourite ingredients. All this is carried out with crazy guys who bring the experience to life, chanting and dancing. Mr Oompah Lumpah was our guide and he was amazing. The shop has some wonderful things too - try the sangria!, They also have a great restaurant a little distance away with excellent food and a...

Very fun and delicious experience! They give everyone that comes to the store a free chocolate tour that is very fun and includes some tastings but the highlight was the brownies!!! It’s the best I had for 3 month of travelling Central America! Costs 3.6$ for a big and indulgent piece and it’s totally worth it!! The cocoa frio drink on the other hand was not that good in my opinion so you can skip.
