THIS IS THE BEST PLACE TO EAT IN GRANADA!!!
I am travelling solo in Nicaragua and started my trip in Granada. I’ve been finding it difficult to find food. I arrived late and the streets were empty. I’ve been going to places that are international food and quite pricey, especially on a backpacking budget. I’ve been wanting to eat more local food and not the international cuisine I’ve been having.
Well, I don’t know how I missed ECO because it’s just 1 block from my hostel.
Inside is such a wonderful atmosphere, you can tell it’s appreciated by the locals as well as there are groups having family dinner, and travellers enjoying a meal.
The service is wonderful, as I was writing this my server whisked away my sweat covered napkins (again, she did it again), and the music and general vibe is awesome.
I didn’t have any beer because I’ve been beered out for the day, and that’s my only regret.
I had the Nica plate and it was a wild amount of incredible food for the humble price of 200 cordobas. I’m so thankful they’re advertising in cordoba and not USD.
I think I’ll come back for one last fast lunch before I leave...

I was in a rush, and needed a big meal with plenty of meat for one person at a reasonable price - and sure enough, within 10 minutes I had just that meal.
The staff were also patient with me during a mixup about payment in which I incorrectly thought my currency had been exchanged incorrectly.
Its possible that the food would have been better had they not prepared it so fast, but I can definitely say that if you need a big portion for a good price, the Nachos Eco is...
Read moreGreat service by our waiter who was very friendly and attentive during our dining visit. The food service was a bit on the slow , particularly since place was quite empty when we visited for a late lunch, side but the wait was well worth it as it was well prepared, tasty and very generous portion. They also have a full bar but opted for fresh juices that were blended with ice and they were refreshing. The location is a bit outside of center of town and it resembles a hallowed out home with a yard converted into an open air dining area. There are some nice antiques around dining area but this is not a fancy dining hall in case you want to host a more formal affair. Prices are reasonable but definitely not the cheapest...
