Duo restaurant @duorestaurants is a continental restaurant located in the heart of Wuse Abuja, Nigeria. It is definitely a kitchen away from home. The outdoor seating area is very captivating, the wood design gives the ambience a rustic and cheery feel. It comes with so much serenity, you just have to sit down, relax and even get entertained cos it's by the road side and you get to see the hustle and bustle on the street of Abuja! I arrived in the company of friends “I am not a loner”, we sat inside. The décor very simple yet unique... the tree paintings on the walls were just too beautiful (If you are a lover of art). The cloud decal on the ceiling looked so nice I couldn't stop staring.

They have very professional and friendly staff, they welcome and usher you with a smile, for picture lovers like me, all you have to do is just ask, and they will give you the best picture shots you have ever taken.

For alcohol drinkers, you get to choose from a variety of cocktails, wine, beer, spirits etc and for nonalcoholic drinkers, you get to choose from nice mix of mocktails, smoothies, fresh fruits, soft srinks etc. Their drinks are served with salted crispy groundnut that leaves your taste bud craving more.

This is chill spot for friends and family to unwind and enjoy good food. The chef is out of this world as the food was very tasty, well plated, good turnaround delivery time btw 15-20mins (you won’t die of hunger), clean cutlery and waiters and your food is served with a smile. We ordered mash potatoes and fish fillets (this one of the best mash potatoes I have had in a while), chicken curry (this is a must have) and white basmati rice, chicken pepper soup served with bread bun (the pepper soup was a little bit salty).

For those who have a very sweet tooth, you can choose from a variety of their desserts; brownies, chocolate biscuits, chocolate cake, orange cake etc.

For fitfam and weight watchers, you can try out their salads; season salad, tomato salad, green salad etc.

Their prices are very affordable if you are riding solo or as a group, you can have a main meal from N4,000 upwards and a drink from 1,200 upwards. I recommend that you order the strawberry and banana smoothies, you will thank me later.

This restaurant ranks one of my favourite spots in Abuja as I have been here multiple times within a week with friends and acquaintances... we chill, relax and even have casual business meetings.

I recommend this restaurant to everyone, you won’t regret it!

I’ll start by saying it’s not exactly easy to locate this restaurant. The signage isn’t contrasting from the wall color (branding issues). I’ve been here twice on lunch and dinner dates, and I tried different meals and drinks on the menu. First of, I think the meals are overly priced (I could barely find the chicken in the chicken curry). Plus the cocktails aren’t exactly great. Mojito is a very common cocktail, and I only expect that it should taste great if I’m paying 4k for a glass. Not sure I’ll say I got much value for my money.

Secondly, the 7.5% VAT isn’t included on the price menu. You have to pay for that separately. There’s no warning whatsoever, so it really comes off as a surprise when about to pay. This should be indicated on every page boldly for people to see.

Thirdly, the restaurant is really neat and the staff are warm and friendly. That’s a plus. I think the choice of background music could be better for a fancy restaurant.

Planning a date for two? Have at least 25k for food and two glasses of cocktails (7.5%...
