Horrible! Lagos wannabe! Overly priced! Absolutely no value for money. I made a reservation in the morning to come in mid afternoon, guess what? They didn't reserve my table. We had to sit with other guests on the same table. Plus their service was really slow. The waiter was absent-minded and kept mixing up our orders. Apparently, they had run out of some of the groceries needed for our order so we were forced to pick what was available.

Furthermore, the cooking experience was a total letdown. No showmanship, nothing spectacular. I have experienced better so I know what I'm saying. We had to wait an hour for the guests we were merged with to finish having their meals cooked and we were just groaking all the while. My kids were hungry and we asked for spring rolls to be served while we waited our turn. Guess what? The waiter came out with spaghetti tossed in soy sauce with tiny pieces of chicken in 4 small plates for a family of 5. When they served us their soup too, the waiter brought 4 tiny bowls instead of 5. He came and apologized both times that the pot for cooking couldn't contain more than 4 portions. For portions that could barely fill the belly of a 3 year old. I mean, we asked for spring rolls, why are you serving pasta? Well, we were hungry so we ate. And when the bill came out, it was a whooping 9k each for a spoon of pasta with about 3 to 4 tiny pieces of chicken cubes!!!

Now on to the teppenyaki itself...mmh! The steak and prawn platter was a miserly medium prawn, and a very flat, small piece of beef. That's all! How??? For 25k??? The other platter of 40k was lobster, prawn and salmon. It had again, 1 medium prawn, 1 medium lobster and half a fillet of salmon.

The rice served was the only side. The portion was in a tiny sauce bowl that could easily pass through my nose. I make better fried rice, honestly. Fried rice was made with eggs, onions and spring onions. Nothing more! It was so bland!

We left there hungry and still had to go to another fast food to get food. My 7 year old that barely eats was complaining and at a point had to rest his head on the table because he wasn't feeling the vibe of the whole thing.

Then the ambience! It felt really ordinary. The place should have transported us to Japan as the meals served are Japanese meals, right? No japanese music, no japanese costume or decor, no fragrance.

You know how you step into a space and you're immediately transported to another continent through the fragrance, clothes, music, decor e.t.c , well, it wasn't the case with this restaurant. We paid 168k for 2 adults, 2 teenagers and 1 child. I will never...

I wish I could start with a 0 star. Hello, I went to your Wuse 2 location for my friends birthday today, we had our dinner set for 8pm. (for a party of 8) the manager told us to to give a 100,000 deposit which we found really weird, thankfully we said no and they said we should come in before 8 to be seated. Anywho we’ve come in and sat at the bar by 8, we waited two hours 40 minutes before we were sat for the fire show. (we’ve been waiting at this point for almost three hours mind you) we complained to every person about the horrible service and they sent us the manager. some of the people that came for the birthday had to cancel their orders and were going home, this was a disaster. The manager who ever he is needs to be fired. He was really rude and condescending. He had a horrible attitude and will bring down the business. He never apologised and ended up telling us, that it’s his Resturant and he’ll tell us what to do, he doesn’t care we’ve waited so long. Honestly the waiters were more apologetic and tried to make us feel a bit better. All eight of us were beyond pissed. We left mid conversation. You need to do better as an establishment (keep an eye on the work your managers do) if you want your business to thrive. 0/100000. 0 star. FIRE THE MANAGER AT THE WUSE 2

Honestly it seemed like a good concept overall. If maintained well, but it has left such a sour taste in my mouth. Don’t think I’ll ever be going back. A waiting table had to clear and some of us had to stand for 50 minutes. The place lost its appeal while waiting. Some of us almost lost our temper because the manager...

A Nightmarish Experience

If you're looking for an evening of frustration and disappointment, look no further than this restaurant . My recent visit was nothing short of a disaster from start to finish, thanks in large part to the awful behaviour of their manager.

We had a reservation and arrived on time, expecting a nice dinner. Instead, we were left waiting for an outrageous 2 hours and 30 minutes past our reservation time with no communication from the staff. To make matters worse, we weren't even allowed to order anything while we waited—no drinks, no appetizers, nothing.

The real kicker was the manager's attitude. Not only did they prevent the chef from starting our meal without any valid reason, but they also refused to provide us with any information. When we asked for an explanation, the manager began shouting at us, treating us like we were the problem, rather than valued customers.

By the time we were finally seated, our appetite and mood were completely ruined. We ended up leaving without ordering anything because we couldn't stand to spend another minute in that awful place.

AVOID THIS RESTAURANT AT ALL COSTS!! There are plenty of other places where the staff actually cares about their customers and understands the basics of hospitality. This place is an...

First of all, there’s a horrible fish smell when you step into the building leading upstairs where the restaurant is. Now to the food, I ordered the Shogun Teppanyaki meal which the menu says is Steak and Chicken, Steamed Vegetables and Egg Fried Rice. Steamed Vegetables: My veggies came fried—the onions were caramelised. I asked the waiter if the veggies were steamed or fried. He said fried and when I pointed out on the menu that they were supposed to be steamed, he said to give him a minutes to ask the kitchen, came back and said oh they were steamed. Steak: Perhaps the most confusing part of my brunch was when I signalled to the waiter that the chef didn’t ask how we wanted our steak. He then said that oh what we’ll be getting isn’t steak but local beef. Why then does the menu say ‘steak’? My friend asked for the Litchy Fantasy without yogurt (she’s lactose intolerant). Tell me why they made her drink with milk. And tried to get us to pay for a replacement drink. This is one of those Nigerian restaurants where they put on a show, charge high prices and try to pass it off as a fine dining experience. Also, the food was just there. Not worth the money and definitely not worth the time.

The place is ok, after eating at other teppanyaki places I felt this was slightly below the standard it could be but still was good for the value. We paid 60k and 35k for the meals which is not even a third of what I would usually expect to pay for live teppanyaki so the value is good in that sense. That being said, the food probably isn't the same standard although still tasty enough to satisfy me. The live cooking seems rushed, inside 30 minutes the cooking is finished. I would prefer a longer experience even if paying more. Perhaps adding better quality steak and lobster to the menu would be a nice touch also. The chicken was absolutely perfect, lamb was just ok and the prawns were good. There is room for improvement here but again, the price is low so I can't complain. Chef was friendly and good. Waiting staff didn't seem to know what was going on.

It’s a decent place. The teppanyaki service was cute. My partner and I got the Shogun dish which was grilled chicken and steak with vegetables and egg fried rice. The food was okay but it was SO FILLING. The portions were more than enough and we still had extra egg fried rice 😅 The teppanyaki chef, Kenneth, was a very lovely person. All smiles. I would suggest booking a reservation for the teppanyaki service so you could pick a time slot and also come on time. We booked for the 6pm time slot but came 20 mins late, so they started without us. Luckily, there was another teppanyaki table that was free and we had that to ourselves so Kenneth came and did his magic for just the both of us.
