First came across Tirta Spa back in 2008 and it left such a lasting impression that we have been angling to return for years. The worry though is that after all this time, would it still stand up to memory or will it fall victim to nostalgia. Thankfully our experience was that it was just as great as the first time.
Boracay has a whole host of spa facilities on offer that range from the cheaper beachfront to the high end “luxury “ hotel based ones. Tirta Spa however is located away from the beach front and although the journey to get there may feel a little detached from the beach scene, once you are there it all makes sense. The isolation from the hustle and bustle of the main beach allows for a relaxing experience that begins as soon as you walk through that beautiful entrance and walkway. The attention and consultation afforded to visitors at the very beginning highlights their attention to ensuring that you get the best possible experience during your visit. There was no up selling pressure on other treatments available just a gentle awareness of what else was available. The staff in charge of your actual treatment were very knowledgeable about their craft and constantly checked that we were okay and happy with the treatment. Adjustments were made where required although this was quite rare and the time allocated for us to enjoy each experience of every aspect of our treatment was just right.
All in all for a detached relaxing experience that provides you with a great spa experience that allows you to unwind and detach, this is certainly at the top end of our personal must visit list. Myself and my wife would like to thank everyone at Tirta Spa for an unbelievable experience and so happy that it is just as good as we remembered. My Brother who we decided to send to the same place also echoes the sentiment and says he fully understands now why we constantly rave about the place and would not hesitate to visit again as well.
Wishing you continued success and hope the gap between visits is so long next time...
Read moreFrom the welcome to the farewell and everything in between, this was perfect. My wife and I chose Tirta Spa to celebrate our honeymoon because it looked peaceful and romantic - and we weren't disappointed!||||It is about a 5-10min tricycle ride away from Boracay's famous White Beach. This is perfect for those who want to enjoy the island peacefully but if you're seeking for sand, sea and activities be prepared to either walk 30mins or pay about 200 PHP every ride.||||Cecil and her staff are very hospitable and attended to our every need - we even chose to dine in one evening and their Filipino cooking is of restaurant quality! The Premier Loft room itself is part of a beautifully Southeast Asian inspired house and is spacious and furnished to a high standard. The king size bed is comfortable and there are his-and-her sinks, a large shower head and freestanding bath - though some may be a bit uncomfortable with the bathroom's glass walls which don't give you any privacy (the room itself has enough privacy by being in the loft and with door curtains). There is a minibar, air conditioning, safe, large TV, and a mobile WiFi hotspot.||||The estate itself is beautiful with landscaped gardens and of course you can't stay here without trying their award winning spa and massage treatments. A bit expensive but you are paying for a quality experience and to be in an amazing environment.||||As we stayed during high peak season (New Year week) we overpaid for the room but at its normal rate I think it's good value for money. Breakfast is an optional addition which we opted out of. I would recommend this place to those who appreciate peace, beauty and luxury - and of course an excellent service! Thank you to Cecil and the Tirta Spa staff for making our stay relaxing...
Read moreI booked the Renaissance of Beauty package at Tirta Spa, which is known for its serene, high-end spa experience in Boracay. The location is stunning—peaceful, beautifully maintained and surrounded by nature. The atmosphere feels tranquil from the start and the overall setting is ideal for unwinding.
One of the best parts of the experience was the thoughtful touches—like the foot washing ritual and pre-treatment photos. These small but meaningful details added a sense of intention and luxury to the overall visit.
The consultation process was also very thorough. I asked for strong pressure and while the therapist did check in during the massage, the pressure remained lighter than I have hoped. I didn’t push further, as the room was not air-conditioned and the therapist was visibly sweating.
Privacy was another concern. After the treatment, the therapist remained in the room to clean up while I was invited to take a shower. It felt awkward to shower with someone present and I would have appreciated more discretion at that stage of the experience.
There was also spider webs on the ceiling—a small detail, but one that shouldn’t be overlooked in a spa that markets itself as luxury.
Lastly, the approach to tipping felt a bit pushy. Before the treatment, the receptionist informed us that the service tax had been removed to encourage tipping and after the session, an empty red envelope was placed with the post-treatment drink. While I understand the intent, this presentation felt a bit uncomfortable and overly suggestive.
The staff were polite and professional and the spa certainly has strong potential. But with improvements in comfort, privacy, cleanliness and a more subtle approach to gratuity, the experience could be far more seamless and worthy of its...
