I played with my club, Royal Glen Golf Club here on 21 March 2021, I have to say Bellville Golf Course is one of the most challenging courses in Cape Town, there was not one shot except a few putts that was on level ground, your ball is either above or below making it more challenging to strike accurately. The ground is also very hard at places not forgiving to your clubs when you do not strike your ball properly.
The fairways are mostly either on a slant to the left or right seldom level so too are the putting greens.
Covid 19 protocols strictly enforced and it was good to see all players complying.
The course is well maintained the greens were super fast and my 4 ball took a while to master our putting weight. The Marshall's ran the games efficiently and had a pleasant demeanor.
The half way house was also on the ball insisting all players place their orders before tee off, they make a mean bacon egg and cheese toasted sarmie and the staff are super friendly cudos to them.
So for a challenging and enjoyable round of golf, I recommend Bellville Golf Club but do yourself a favor order cart for your round when you book!!!!!, never mind just take my advice on...
Read moreDon't waste your time and money on this course. Terrible customer service, terrible course if you don't know the course (there isn't boards and signs to show where the next hole is), rough is so long and thick, impossible to find a ball, definitely needs a cut. Carts is uselss, and it cuts off when you ride somewhere to find a ball. The Marshall's attitude is horrible and the manager Andries is worse. They said we need to be finish hole 18 before 6pm, it was 17:35 and we only had two holes left to play, (we would've be finished before 6pm), then the battery of the cart died and they didn't want us to finish the last 2 holes. We paid a lot of money to play this horrible course, but they didn't wanted us to finish, because the Marshall said he needs to go home. Also the one Marshall came every 4 hole to remind us to be finished at 6pm, so they hurry us up the whole time, and the same Marshall that takes his work so "serious", he sold 10 balls to us before we started to play and said "we have to keep quit about it". Definitely the worst experience I ever had on a golf course, they need to learn how to treat their customers. Wouldn't...

Review of Bellville Golf Course 1/5 stars
Unfortunately, my experience at Bellville Golf Course was a disaster. The phone call with the assistant, Jurie, was misleading, and we drove 2 hours (fromw Worcester )only to be told we weren't playing at the right pace. How are younger players suppose to learn on a course if the oppertunities is not given to them , Despite paying for 18 holes, we were only allowed to play 9 without any refund. The operator, Piet, was rude and demanded payment for clubs, citing a one-bag-per-person rule that no one informed us about.
The course itself was poorly maintained, with trash, beer bottles, and human waste visible. It's unacceptable for a golf course to be in such disarray.
Advice to others: Be cautious when dealing with the staff, and clarify all rules and expectations before visiting.
Recommendation: Bellville Golf Course needs to improve its customer service, course maintenance, and communication to provide a better experience...
