I have been ordering from Jason's for a long time and as a long time customer I would like to share that, especially in comparison to competitors, Jason's is an amazing place. I have done dine-in, pick up and delivery and the food and service is typically very consistent, you can tell that the food is fresh and that it is made to order, I have not had problems with communication and it is always very good. The few times I have done dine-in I have enjoyed my experience and the view and the hospitality, you get to walk in and choose your seat and there is always someone to help you. I really enjoy ordering pick up as it is quick and easy, you just send a message asking for what you want and when you want it ready for and it is extremely simple and helpful. I have not always had the best experience with delivery but it has never been a major problem, it can take a little longer but it logically makes sense for it to take a bit longer so there is not much to complain about.
I personally prefer their sushi over everything else but all of their food is well made, anything that I didn't like was always only based on personal preference. They have so many options to choose from so every now and then I try something new and I have not been extremely disappointed by anything.
I highly recommend their Salmon Platter No.10 for sharing between a few and their Salmon Platter No.6 for one to two people, it is well priced for the amount and the quality.
My family and I also enjoy their chicken chow mein and the beef fried rice, it is a very nice large portion to share. The chow mein has a lot of vegetables which we really enjoy and their beef fried rice is a very good balance of beef and rice.
We have only had the dumplings a few times and I will admit that eating it while dinning in while they are extremely fresh has been the best experience but it is still very good from delivery as well.
I enjoy their sweet and sour pork, it can sometimes be visibly different, it is typically light in colour and sometimes comes a bit darker in colour but I cannot complain about the flavour.
In terms of pricing I believe that it is reasonably priced even after their price increase as it is quality food so I personally do not mind paying, the only time I found something to be expensive is ordering drinks while dinning in which can be expected from any dine-in place. It can start to add up as you add things to your order but I have never felt as if I have been overcharged or that it is unreasonable.
I am intentionally not voting all 5 stars because I believe that any and all businesses have...
Read moreThis used to be our favorite sushi spot for the last two years, for a quick bite to eat at a decent price. It's not top quality sushi, but decent - up until recently. We've ordered Chinese food and sushi, we've had both on takeaway too before. Although the standard and quality went down quite a bit (as well as the decor and restaurant inside does need a drastic update, as part of the roof is coming apart / loose and sponge is just pushed into the holes) - the worst was yesterday - when there was a boney (looks like a fish bone) inside our chicken springroll, as well as a stringy piece of metal of about 3cm long. When my husband showed it to them, not finishing our food anymore, he was only told "Sorry, want new one" - ofcourse we DON'T want to eat there any longer after this - no compensation was offered either. This was definitely the last time we will eat there and a final confirmation to us for downward spiral of quality...
Read moreThe worst food I've ever had delivered. It was not crispy duck and it was not egg fried rice and the cost is absurd. The food was cold, stale and in incredibly small portion sizes. The egg fried rice wasn't prepared correctly, not even close, you can't just mix in tiny pieces of previously made scrambled eggs with cold white rice and call it egg fried rice. The duck was prepared correctly, except that it was NOT crispy duck. And it was cold and stale. I think the meal was about 6 times as expensive as it should be, based on the ingredients and what I got in the end. If you were in Asia, you can LITERALLY buy this as prepackaged food at a convenience store, microwave it in the store, eat it there, and it would be the same quality as this food...except at a fraction of the cost. I know this for a fact. The owner must be aware of how low quality this food is. I would never have sent this meal...
