I haven't been to Cheese Gourmet in years!!!! Oh my gosh, today I wanted some REAL cheese ... so hubby drove us there. I walked in and thought - why don't I visit more often??? They have jams, some really unusual ones - some boozy ones .... they have sweets, fudge, biscuits, koeksisters (glistening with syrup), olives, knives, oils ... In the fridges they have specialty sausages, spreads, goat's cheeses ... On the main table they have this SPREAD of cheeses .... of all kinds!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Every cheese has a name tag .... and you tell them how much (or little) you would like .... I wanted STRONG cheeses ... chose a really stinky blue cheese, a cheese with olives in, a cheese with bokkom powder in (that one is salty, but still waiting for the bokkom taste .... ) .... Seriously, if you love cheeses .... go visit them!!!

Well stocked with "anything cheese" in the little cheese shop. Very nice choices of gourmet foods. The little restuarant adjacent to the shop is very quaint. Casual, clean and fresh. No frills in decor but food was really good. My eggs benedict was done exactly as i asked and my husbands burger was delicicious. I asked for extra bacon, what i got was cooked perfectly and a lot of it. Prices are relevant to the area and acceptable. Servce was quick and good. Much enjoyed.

As I stepped into the store, it felt like a home, comfortable and inviting. Loved the shop side. Large variety of local cheeses! It made me proud to see that our local products are being showcased with such love and respect! They have different types of cheese board goodies like preserves, chocolate, fresh bread and cured meats to go with the cheese. There service is on point! And there's a story to every product they sell. Love this store! Worth a visit!

As I stepped into the store, it felt like a home, comfortable and inviting. Loved the shop side. Large variety of local cheeses! It made me proud to see that our local products are being showcased with such love and respect! They have different types of cheese board goodies like preserves, chocolate, fresh bread and cured meats to go with the cheese. There service is on point! And there's a story to every product they sell. Love this store! Worth a visit!

The Cheese Gourmet feels like a good family run business - warm and friendly.

I love how knowledgeable their personnel are about cheese and their suggestions of pairing cheese with different food and drink have been spot on.

They sell a large variety of locally made cheeses as well as yummy fresh bread. You can sample just about all of the cheeses on sale. And the prices are really competitive when compared to some large retailers.

We have also made use of the Coffee Shop side and I can highly recommend their Cheese Fondue for two! For me, one order of Cheese Fondue served 3-4 people - generous portions. One recommendation - Ask for a variety of bread served with the...

A quaint, neighbourhood favourite that delivers on fresh and delicious food! My order of scrambled egg and smoked trout arrived looking like a picture and tasted accordingly. They had no alternative to cow's milk, which meant drinking a still happily enjoyed Sir Fruit Juice. I would have preferred a hot drink in the winter chill. The pricing is more than reasonable and I could see myself returning weekly for a shared meal or breakfast, as everything sounds really tasty! Where was this when I was a student with a foodie mentality and limited...
