afternoon coffee at Njam with my partner. We were introduced to the cake stand that was full of amazing stuff... what to choose. Standing there, I felt excited and confused as i baked most of what was on display, but I was suddenly sick from guilt and the sugar rush.... Being the proverbial flip flopper between sweet and savory, I settled for the cheese and tomato roosterkoek from the kiddies menu a steal at R40.. I wanted something small. Although a good menu, there was nothing that offered just a small bit. The waitress cautioned that some of the kiddies portions are larger than the adults, so I had to choose wisely... 😂. The portion was adequate and well balanced with s side salad, which I filled the roosterkoek with. It made the koek even better, but it definitely lacked a bit of seasoning ( salt and pepper).. none found on the table, and I didn't bother asking. The staff were overly polite, and it would have killed me to offend them. Coffee was a gentle, comfortable brew just the way I like it, without that bitter dark roast burned taste as it cools. My partner settled for a doorstopper sized blondie, a white chocolate brownie... kudos to him for finishing it. I did taste it... it was helluva moorish and decadent, with just the right chew n lingering buttery taste, i thought i tasted honey.... I wondered if I made the wrong choice. Service was unobtrusive, with the right balance of attention and quietness and politeness at a time of indecisiveness. Well worth a visit, it's a beautiful quaint venue with such a good feeling, good wholesome food and friendly staff. Will definitely be going...

I recently had the pleasure of dining at NJAM, and it was truly an incredible experience. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted warmly by the staff and made to feel right at home. The decor is chic and modern, and the ambiance is lively yet relaxed.

But of course, the real star of the show here is the food. Every dish I tried was absolutely delicious, from the flavorful starters to the mouth-watering mains. The chefs here clearly know their craft and put a lot of care and attention into each dish.

To top it all off, the service was impeccable. Our server was knowledgeable and friendly, and made sure we had everything we needed throughout the meal.

All in all, I would highly recommend NJAM to anyone looking for a top-notch dining experience in Linden. The food, service, and atmosphere are all outstanding, and I can't wait to come back and try more of the menu. Five...

We arrived early in the day, looking forward to a breakfast / brunch at Njam.

Unfortunately, the delicious pastries we had imagined we would find were nowhere to be seen. It's not that they get sold out by lunch, they are not there to begin with.

We ordered scrambled eggs and mushrooms on toast, both of which were rather underwhelming. We also had to wait a long time for our food: while we were waiting, people arrived, ordered, were served their food, and finished it before we ever received what we had ordered.

Nobody apologised to us. The waitress gave us the rather lame excuse that the mushroom sauce had taken so long to prepare. If only we had left! In the end, I walked away with bad food poisoning feeling sick all day and getting violently ill at night.

It was not worth it, and we...

Lunch with my sister and a work colleague of hers. We got there too late to order off the breakfast menu, but i definitely saw some items that I would have liked to try. Sister and her colleague opted for burgers, which were very good. I ordered the creamy mushrooms and cheese on toast, which was slightly salty for my taste, but I enjoyed the dish nevertheless. The parmesan was in thin slices over the mushrooms. Also ordered a latte, which was good. There is wifi available, and I saw many people working at their tables. Very cute neighborhood spot! Street parking available and there is a small parking lot right next to the building.

The place is fabulous and the service is amazing. But that's not why I'm giving this review. It's because I wouldn't be a good person if I didn't share this with everyone. The have the BEST hot chocolate in the world. Ever. EVER! They serve warm milk with the most decadent Belgian chocolate chips on the side for you to add. Don't share these with anyone. Protect it as if your life depended on it. They give you a lot of chocolate too. It's marvelous, devine, fantastic and all the other fabulous descriptive words. The pic doesn't do it justice as it was taken after I've had a bit of a sip. Well done Njam!
