Norhtmead Square, I one of my favourite places in Benoni, as it has a shopping centre, both Pick n pay as well as a Woolworths. Both these grocery stores have a great atmosphere, and a friendly environment. I take my brother to Pops Toys a lot and the workers there are always very friendly. The garage down the road is a useful addiction ... And the Cash Crusaders always have new products in store. The Fast food places by the Northmead Square, are always on time with their food deliveries and have never taken over an hour to get your food. These stores include, the Steers, Fishaways, Pizza perfect and on more that has slipped my memory. The many restaurants inside the Northmead 2Square, are always ready to serve you at every hour of the day. The general atmosphere around the square is very lively and always calm and collected. The tech store on the second story, are always very helpful and the internet charges are reasonable , the atmosphere there is by far my favourite. The banks are in easy access .. Absa, Standard Bank, Bisdvest Bank, FNB and Capitec. There are many stores that I am probably forgetting, but I can mention the crazy store that has all you needs and stocks just about anything. The coffee shop is delicious and very affordable, for a coffee shop that is, and the clothing store which is rather pricy but does have great clothes, an optometrist, a biltong shop, a tech store down stairs and an affordable clothing store next to the hardware store, along with hairdressers and a pet shop. Really does have...

Because it has the closest movie theater to where I live, I have always liked Northmead Square and have been visiting for almost as long as I've lived in Benoni (about 10 years).

It has a nice range of stores, including a supermarket (Checkers and now Woolworths), several restaurants (Spur, Cafe Mirosta, Jimmy's Prawns, McGinty's), takeaways (Steers, Fish Aways, Pizza Perfect) movies (Ster Kinekor), banks/ATMs (Absa, FNB, Nedbank, Standard Bank and a Bureau de change), a tobacconist, cellular stores, a Kodak print shop, jewelers, a copy center, as well as little shops selling makeup, shoes, electronics, flowers and fancy gifts, .

Right now it is in the middle of an upgrade so everything is in a mess and it can be confusing to figure out which stores are still there, what new stores there are and which stores are no more (or temporarily closed). But hopefully everything will settle down soon and then I can finally figure out exactly where everything has moved to and what Northmead Square...
