Fishaways Northmead Square — Restaurant in Gauteng

Ordered the trio family meal. Rice was wet hake fried to a crisp, had to remove the outer layer to try and eat it. There's no way they didnt know they messed up but they served me that thing anyway. Will not be buying from this fishaways again.

Edit following my complaint and the response to have it looked at, they keep sending me messages that they tried to contact me with no option to contact them back, no missed calls and I have truecaller and there's no caller that's registered as fishaways that called me. They haven't emailed me or anything.

Edit 2. I finally got contact from Fishaways Northmead about four weeks after I had submitted the complaint. They asked me to describe what was wrong with the food and asked that I bring it back to them before they can make it again. I explained that I don't have the food but I have a picture of it in my bin. I tried to explain that I could not possibly have kept the food for four weeks (even if I did, I'm surely not driving there to bring it back). They insisted that I bring the food to them, at which point I hung up. To clarify I'm not interested in them making me food again. How they handled my complaint...

Unfortunately, my recent experience at your takeaway outlet was very disappointing, and it reflects poorly on the staff representing your business. When I first called to place an order, I had to hang up because the background noise from staff was so loud that the person on the phone couldn’t hear me — nor could I hear her. I called again and managed to place an order for collection.

However, when I arrived, the situation was even more concerning. The music inside was extremely loud, and there was a strong smell of someone smoking cannabis, which was very off-putting. Both I and another customer were shocked by the atmosphere.

Service offered at the restaurant is very poor. I went to the restaurant in the morning of the 5th of July 2025. On my arrival, there was a gentleman who was washing the pans at the back. I had a slight view of what he was doing, and i saw him washing the pans with just water, no soap, and the pans were placed on the floor after washing. On this day, there was loud music at the shop, I had scream "Knock Knock" in order for him to hear me.

Today, I bought garden vegetable meal, which had rotten cherry tomato with grey stuff on it. I am grateful that I noticed this rotten tomato before I could eat it.
