Pizza Perfect Northmead Square — Local services in Gauteng

I purchased two pizzas — the Perfect Pizza and the Godfather — on 23 April 2025 at around 17:15. Unfortunately, the experience was very disappointing.

The Perfect Pizza I had contained salami that tasted old, hard, overly salty, and sour. I had to pick off the salami just to eat a few slices, but then I also came across mushrooms that were clumped together and tasted off.

The Godfather pizza was supposed to have minced beef on it, but there was no mince at all — a major letdown, especially given the price.

This is actually the second time we’ve had a bad experience — particularly with the extremely salty, sour salami. We decided to give you another chance because we’ve had fantastic pizzas from Pizza Perfect Northmead Square in the past. The exact order as I love the Perfect Pizza the most and it was always above expectation, except for the last two times. And it costs over R400 for those two pizzas and it is a lot of money spending it on something I have to throw away.

Something seems to have changed — whether it’s the ingredients, staff, or management — and it’s been noticeable.

Could you please look into who was working at that time and review the ingredient quality?

I placed an order telephonically. On the first call I was told to wait as the gentleman was helping someone in front them. I said no problem and waited. After 30 seconds of waiting the person on the other line hung up. I then phoned again and was able to place my order. Once the driver arrived they phoned and as soon I answered the call they immediately hung up. I then got a phone call on whatsapp stating they were at the right gate but when I got there, no one was there. The bike then pulled up shortly after trying to call the driver with no success. When I wanted to pay by card the driver didnt have a card machine, thankful I had cash on me otherwise the driver would have had to go back to collect the card machine. This is not the first time this has happened. I will not be ordering from this branch ever again.

I really wish I could give zero stars. I've been ordering from another branch in Benoni after a few previous disappointing orders from the Northmead branch. I ordered from Northmead again tonight, by accident, but thought I'd give them another try. I ordered at 18:45, phoned at 19:45 to ask where my order is and was told it's out for delivery. It's a 5 min drive from where we stay. 15 minutes later I had to phone again to ask where my pizza is - only to be told he had other orders with our order to deliver. Finally got our pizza at 20:05 and what a big disappointment. The pizzas wasn't hot, the carnivorous pizza was basically crust only, hardly any cheese.
