Soemthing to understand about the grove mall is that it's more of a comfortable smaller mall. It's not the biggest mall mall out there. It isn't like Menlyn or mall of Africa and is more comfortable for smaller outings with smaller groups of friends/famliy.
It does have a LOT of restaurants to choose from and entertainment facilities (namely the movies, ice rink and fun company). So if you do plan on going there for fun you're pretty much sorted and have a few options to keep you busy for a few hours.
It also does have a lot of clothing stores. Granted, they are big brands but they aren't the biggest version of said stores. So you won't necessarily get the widest variety of clothes due to the limitations for the stores' space like you would at maybe menlyn (wouldn't advise bulk buying of clothes at the Grove. Maybe if you're just looking for something small).
There is a lot of parking (in the shade/underground) so even if you can't part near the store you want to go to. You're still garenteed parking by the mall).
Everything is also nicely sectioned. So let's say you want to do groceries on a Friday night for some odd reason, you won't get bothered by all the people looking for fun and entertainment because those shops are far from the entertainment places.
I go to the Grove a lot and over all, I like it. It's a pretry standard mall but a but more cozy due to it not being a mega mall and craxy in size. It's fun and useful!!! -but not for mass events or whatever and huge clothing hauls isn't the best idea here. However groceries are good.
Overall a mall you should go to if you haven't been already -and if you have you get...

When I first when to the Grove Mall, I was super impressed with all the solar panels but was put off by the cement parking lot with no greenery - however, I quickly changed my opinion when I went inside. The mall just immediately gives you that comfortable feeling. It has a spectacular range of shops and a cinema, and the layout is good too to allow you to easily navigate around without hitting dead ends or getting lost (this is super important in my personal opinion). What I like best about the Grove Mall is its grove - lovely green trees, usually with fairy-lights, situated on the ground floor surrounded by eateries. Lovely to sit here and enjoy, especially if it rains. A slightly negative thing is that when the mall is crowded the walkways can get a little congested - but this is only in super peak times. The parking is also ample and with the solar panels, your car will always be protected from the sun and rain/hail. Really always...
