I paid for a piece of wood that I never received. I followed up many times over the years and Gavin promised and made up stories alternating the one with the other. Until today I have not received the piece I bought and I no longer believe I will, it has been years. He has no refund policy, therefore he is not prepared to refund me either. I would be careful when dealing with them. They demand upfront full payment.

REPLY TO YOUR ANSWER: I WENT TO COLLECT THE PIECE THE DAY AFTER I PURCHASED IT AS I DID NOT HAVE A CAR WHICH COULD ACCOMMODATE THE SIZE. THE PIECE WAS NO LONGER THERE. GAVIN TOLD ME PERSONALLY ON THE PHONE (CALLED BY WILLIAM) THAT HE WILL MAKE SURE THAT I GET THE PIECE. I HAVE BEEN FOLLOWING UP EVER SINCE, WHICH HAS BUILD UP TO 6 YEARS. Hugely Overpriced and the staff are useless.

When I was there 5 months ago, there was no sign saying "by appointment only" and your staff would not have known if I had an appointment or not, because they just looked at me standing at the gate, refused to come over to talk to me and then walked away.

Its not a big deal though, because aftwerwards I went straight to the salvage yard off Linksfield, and spent my money on flooring with them rather. They were more than willing to assist me, appointment or not!

I haven't visited The Yard, but I did take time to peruse their website. There certainly appears to be a good variety of second hand stock although there is no indication of the condition or the price. Pity! If a simple grading system was used such as a 3 star system (1 poor, 2 good and 3 excellent) it would gain a buyers attention. To see images, or partial images....without knowing what condition the goods are in or even a price bracket, is a bit...
