I was not just in the coffee shop near at Lions Square first of all you have to look where the dustbin is 2nd of all the the uh tables and chairs doesn't get packed right here there's papers laying all over the place they is used sticks for coffee that's laying on the counter uh there's no staff to be found some of the stuff are still dirty plates and stuff standing on the counter-year but they've got a tip jar that is in front of a bell that you supposed to ring uh so in other words you must first step them before using the Bell then you go to the manager Aaron into the Spar and he's got a bit of an attitude because you tell him that he's coffee shop is not making money because of these things. When I told him I've got a problem I told him come let me go show you he said me now tell me about the problem and I sitting follow me so that I can go show you and he threw papers down with a little bit of an attitude so I switching don't get a attitude with me and uh when I took me into the coffee shop it just had this uh nonchalant attitude of and any address the staff uh which didn't do much. Now you want to be a manager so act like one do your job uh be professional when a client comes to you or a customer comes to you uh don't get a attitude because the client is going to go off on you. Then in the parking lot 4×4 stands in the line of view of the disabled parking on a no parking. This spar and the staff. One...

I leave with a smile on my face or at least a good feeling of "this wasn't a waste of time". All of the staff as well as the Management are stellar. It is impressive. Out of all the Spars in town, I remember this one being either the first or one of the first Spars. To me, it has a homey local feel to it and I know for fact that many of it's customers are loyal and longstanding. This Spar at Lion's Square is the most unique out of the Spars in Town. You can grab a quick takeaway and a coffee, do groceries, sit down and have a brunch at the Cafe, buy freshly made food including baked goods, meals , snacks, sides, you can shop the Deli experience, and you can buy overseas products as well as your most cherished special wine and so on. If you are in a hurry and need to purchase a quick gift, wrap, card, etc then definitely go to this Spar they...
Read moreUnfortunately every time I enter this Spar it stinks. Every time a different smell and always terrible. What I don't understand is how the store manager cannot smell it? A couple of days ago I asked the manager whether there is a problem with the plain Rice Crispies? He asked why? That is exactly why I am asking him because there has been none on the shelves for a long time. He, very disinterested, said there should not be but he will look into it and order it. Still waiting. Would also like to mention that they charge R109 per box, all other retailers, including Woolworths charge about R87 per box. The only thing this Spar has going for them is their very friendly and...
