A must-visit mountain in central Seoul, Inwangsan rises to about 338 meters. The hike is not too long and hard, but there are some steep rocky paths, so I would rate the difficulty as moderate. Most people can reach the top within an hour depending on the starting point.
๐ On the Way As you climb, you can see parts of the Seoul City Wall (Hanyangdoseong), Buddhist temples, and even shamanist shrines that make the hike culturally unique. The trail is well-maintained and marked, but be prepared for some stairs and stone steps.
๐ Views from the Summit From the top, the panoramic view is breathtaking. You can see Gyeongbokgung Palace, Blue House (Cheongwadae), Bukaksan, Namsan with N Seoul Tower, and the endless skyline of modern Seoul. On a clear day, the contrast between ancient palaces and skyscrapers is unforgettable.
๐ฟ Overall Inwangsan is the perfect hike if you want to experience both nature and history without leaving the city. The climb is short but rewarding, and the view from the summit is one of the best in Seoul. Highly recommended for travelers who want a quick escape from the...

The trail consists of wooden stairs were even and easy to climb, stone stairs that were less even but more than manageable, and some areas were steps were grooved into rock that wouldโve been somewhat treacherous without a source of light (a phoneโs flashlight in our case). The views were stunning - seeing the sprawling city lit up from up high was one of the most memorable experiences weโve had on our...
