Moncho's Catering — Local services in Barcelona

Could not recommend Monchos enough! The group provided catering for our wedding just outside of Barcelona. The food, drink and service really elevated the experience both us and our guests had.

Monchos were extremely flexible and understanding in terms of personalising the menu for our wedding (including a rather unconventional dessert 🤣). This process included a tasting with our parents which was a special experience for us all. Not only was the food brilliant and we got to try everything but the team were extremely diligent allowing even for the smallest tasting notes (that were all successfully implemented for our wedding meal).

The quality of the food and the service was unparalleled. Saturday’s food started with canapes (Spanish tapas) which were all amazing and our guests were raving about them (multiple references to them in our wedding book). The waiters/waitresses were extremely diligent and proactive making sure my wife and I got enough to eat and drink (a detail that is normally missed at weddings and one we definitely didn't want to miss given the quality of the food).

The main 3 course meal again was of an extremely high quality. tuna tartare with gazpacho. Extremely tasty and loved the professional individual serving of the gazpacho. Beautiful presentation and our tasting notes were implemented cod dish for main. The fish was extremely well cooked (really impressive given the kitchen set-up and the amount of guests). They included our points on dish presentation which involved using elements from another main. cheese boards, churros and espresso martini. (Thank you monchos for putting up with our more original dessert idea 🤣 - it was perfect!)

We asked for a cake of cheese and the monchos team made it look beautiful. We couldn't have been happier with it.

On Sunday at the pool party, monchos did paella and salads all of which were superb!

On drinks - the pre ceremony drinks were extremely refreshing on a hot day, the open bar worked super well & was well stocked and we enjoyed the cocktail hour.

Staff - all of the the staff were professional, friendly and extremely diligent. We couldn't have asked for better service.

All of our guests said it was the best food they have had at a wedding and they definitely didn't go hungry. We couldn't agree more! It really made our wedding special as we wanted to put focus on food and drink.

I try not to exaggerate or be too much emotional. This is waht happened: I looked at the menu and told the waiter I would like to eat something small. He said: The half portions are on the left side. I ordered a seefood salad for 4 euro something and pimientos del padron for 5 euro something. And a beer. When the bill came I was surprised. Both the salad and the pimientos were 10,90. I protested. Waiter said I ordered normal portion and showed me the menu: There were 2 prices, one for half portion and one for normal. I thought: Wow, a different menu - like in tv, when they show people getting cheated. and now it's me. Anyway, even if I had been wrong, they should have tried to find a good way out and let the client feel king. But what they did was insisting on the high price. And after I refused said they call the police and I had to stay there. With a bit of emotion I have to admit to have felt like a criminal. By the way, the pimientos were too salty. I know, they must be salty, but they need to have big salt stones and not just much salt. Well, I waited a bit and no police came. So i paid. I felt like having better things to do than sitting there...

Monchos care about the costumer's needs. When we first received the menu we were amazed about how they listened. We received exactly what we wanted and more. We asked for some especial drinks, which were included in the offer, we asked for a special Turkish food and it was included. The day we tasted the food in El Patrón, everything was so delicious, well organized, Natalia always taking notes of everything. They also said that the meat to prepare that Turkish food was brought directly from Madrid because they did not find it in Barcelona. They make things possible. Highly recommend, thank you Natalia...
