I visited the lounge on Sunday afternoon, 1st March 2020.
Let me start with the positives: The lounge is fairly big and relatively quiet though I reckon the atmosphere may change during business travel peak times There is a large selection of all kinds of alcohol Staff members are friendly Toilets are modern and clean
Unfortunately, considering that this should be the flagship lounge of Spain‘s national carrier at their main hub, it leaves a lot to be desired: The selection of hot food is extremely limited and the containers are so small that the kitchen staff is busy refilling the pasta tray every few minutes There is barely any food labelling and only a sign saying ”Please ask our staff about our food ingredients in case of allergies“ but when you ask you receive conflicting information Such a lounge could serve as a window into Spain‘s food culture ... why are there no tortillas, jamón, calamari, chorizo? It is all relatively easy to provide. The speed of the internet connection is on the slow side.
I am aware that other reviewers have praised this lounge. In my view, the lounge is large but it is no match to the lounges of Iberia‘s sister company BA in London and it is a far cry from CX‘s lounges in Hong Kong or Qantas‘ lounges in Sydney or Melbourne. If you‘re only used to lounges in the US or if you’re focused on the selection of booze then you should be...
Read moreThe VIP Lounge Dalí at Madrid-Barajas Airport Terminal 4 is a fantastic place to relax before a flight. From the moment you enter, you’re welcomed by a professional and friendly staff who ensure a smooth check-in experience. They are attentive, polite, and always ready to assist with any request, making the lounge feel truly exclusive.
One of the standout aspects of this lounge is the exceptional cleanliness. Every area—from the seating spaces to the buffet and restrooms—is impeccably maintained. The furniture is modern and comfortable, creating a cozy and peaceful environment, perfect for unwinding or getting some work done before boarding. The layout provides plenty of space, so even when it’s busy, it never feels overcrowded.
The service is top-notch. The food selection is varied and high-quality, featuring fresh salads, sandwiches, and warm dishes, along with a great selection of beverages, including premium wines and spirits. The lounge also offers fast Wi-Fi, comfortable workspaces, and private areas, making it ideal for both business and leisure travelers.
The overall experience at VIP Lounge Dalí makes waiting for a flight much more enjoyable. Whether you need to relax, enjoy a good meal, or catch up on work, this lounge provides a premium experience that enhances the journey. If you’re flying with Iberia from Terminal 4, I highly recommend stopping by—you won’t be...
Read moreHuge vip lounge which was extensively renovated at the end of 2018. It offers 3 different main areas: the two main ones at each side of the lounge offering food and drinks and a smaller one in the center where the bar area is. All kind of seats and sofas that offer certain privacy even when the lounge is packed (which is normally the case). The food could be improved: no warm food available, also when food is made available hordes of hungry people will appear in all directions in a perfect “walking dead” fashion. Breakfast is the worst. There is almost nothing. As a Spanish airline the Spanish culture of downgrading the importance of breakfast as a meal is clear here.
I love the light. Other vip lounges have no natural light and feel like a bunker whereas this one overlooks the terminal and is plenty of light. It is specially nice early morning and before sunset.
In general it is a great place, unfortunately normally overcrowded which is understandable. The main problem is that 80% of the people that crowed the lounge feel like they are better than everyone else so People tend to be a bit disrespectful towards staff and other passengers. I guess this is a common issue in vip lounges although here it is...
