Mercado Maravillas — Local services in Madrid

A great indoor market with loads of internationally and local sourced foods. They have everything from meat, cheese's, fruit & veg plus much much more. There are shops that sell grains and teas from all over the world. Plus delicious olives and olives oils. So there so many shops it hard to know where to start. A two minute walk from Cuatro Camino's metro station but most of the market shuts down around 2pm local time so make sure you get there early as it can get quite busy around closing. They also sell honeys, Marmalades and biscuit. So pretty much anything you can think of. This is where the locals shop so you know it's got to be good. Spanish people are very serious about the quality of the food so you can rest assured that if the business sells food where the locals shops it...

They have all sorts of stores here ranging from restaurants, butchers, seafood, fashion/clothing, fruits, veggies, and more. I also tried out some snacks at a couple restaurants and they were all prett delicious. If you come here I highly recommend trying out their empanadas.

They have a handful of South American cuisine restaurants as well such as Venezuelan, Peruvian, Mexican, and more. Things are very clean and organized (especially the butchers area) so you can tell it’s just taken care of better and is well maintained.

At the entrance to the left there’s also a map of all the places and areas so you can pre-plan where you’d like to go as well as to not get lost. Definitely recommend coming here even if you don’t plan on buying anything to just look at the markets, how...

Nice market selling great foods from and around spain. The market itself is quite nice. Vendors sell their goods at below average prices, and the goods are very fresh and of high quality. In fact, the whole place reeks of fresh fish (in a good way), but can be quite annoying before you get used to it. The furthermost alley had the best price for quality, especially Queso Guierrero (n. 64) who was cery polite and sold us a truckload of high quality cheese for only 21€. The same goes to be said for the stands nearby, who gave us a stick of ginger for 1€ and 10 habanero chillis for 2€! The nuts and condiment store in front of the market is also very nice, and has all the spices you can imagine! Reccomend visiting this market, although quite a long way from center (7 stops...
