Depends on what you're looking for. It's easy to get to and surrounded by all manner of shops and restaurants, including Al Campo, which has just been judged as the cheapest supermarket chain in town. The shop itself was brilliant when it first opened.....a good mix of electronics, games books and CDs. The independent record shops had been going out of biz for years and, unlike the UK's Virgin, HMV and Our Price stores, Spain seemed to have no replacements. FNAC was definitely the answer, if you were a music freak like me. The music section was well- laid out, fully stocked, some great prices and was helpfully split into all the different sections you could wish for. Sorry, folks, but the 'gamer world' and the profits it brings have since taken over......over the last few years, the gaming section has at least doubled, largely at the expense of the music section. I visited last week and found the CD section slashed in terms of quantity. Some previously well-stocked sections were missing altogether and those still existing were not being looked after at all. Too many CDs were out of order or in the wrong sections and the low positioning of many shelves coupled with their depth made it really difficult to browse through a section comfortably. I bought two CDs for good prices but was extremely disappointed at what I couldn't find! So, if you want to find books or electronics (cameras, phones, etc), it's probably as good as ever; if you're looking for games, you'll probably be well-impressed.....but if you're a genuine muso, prepare to be...
Read moreI was today to Fnac at La Cañada to return a Starlink I bought. When I bought I thought instead of ordering it on Amazon or from Starlink I should support my local shop. When I purchase it a specifically asked the sales person if they where a Starlink authorised dealer, and he told me they where. He also told me I can try it for 30days.
Now when I come back to claim a return for my Starlink that I bought with in the 30 days. They refused to return it. Claiming they are not Starlink dealer and they have there own return policy of 7 days. After asking to speak to the working manager, I try to explain the situation that it doesn't work for my house and that according to the promise sales person when I bought it say that I can try for 30 days. The lady manger that I spoke to was rude and did not wanted to hear anything other than voice of her self speak. I have bought a lot of things for my self and for my company true Fnac. But it is the last time I set my fot in this shop. Would not recommend it at all. This store needs new management. And also a clear communication what they sell or not. Next time order on line at least you can return if you...
Read moreMy experience at Fnac Marbella was not a very pleasant one, first of all most of your sales staff are rude, unprofessional, flippant, and in my view have a lot to learn in treating your customers. My wife and myself were standing at the apple counter waiting to be served for 10 minutes whilst your sales staff are standing around chatting amongst themselves. eventually a staff member came over with a bad attitude as if I interrupted his social life in some way. he then went away to fetch me a product and never returned, I found him 15 minutes later and when I asked him what's happened to you bringing a product to show me, he replied "I didn't think you were serious in purchasing it" well, all I can say is you need to train your staff a lot better in customer relations. I did however return later and made a purchase of over €400 and if it wasn't for the fact that the product I purchased wasn't €40 cheaper than at the apple store, I would have gone there. The staff at the apple store are very helpful friendly and...
