Block House La Cañada — Restaurant in Marbella

I couldn’t wait to come and eat at Blockhouse as the quality is always good. This time, service let us all down. I come with my friends for dinner at 21:30, the first thing the waiter says when we are coming in from the other side of the room:

“IM CLOSING IN 30 MINS!!!”

We still proceeded to come inside, he looked at us….

As he was looking at us I said, that when I googled the restaurant it said on the search that its opened until 22:30. He proceeded to say: “Google doesn’t give us orders in this restaurant, I’ve been alone all day I’ve generated 3000€ for the company it’s enough for the day, im done” he looked at my young brother 16 years old and said “you always come late its not the first time, stop coming late” its funny because we haven’t gone there for 2 years. We have been very regular clients before the pandemic, and this employee always treats people with disgrace. His name is Jorge.

It’s a shame for the company to have this kind of employee. It really throws away the effort that it takes to make a strong brand like this. Next time I will go to another Block house on...

We loved to have our lunch in this restaurant but, now with this corona panic plenty businesses are closing. This restaurant has another problem. Yesterday we had lunch and, the day menu is off, because of corona. Customers are few, because of corona. A steak now cost 31.50 euro, and solomio 22.50 euro. What do you get for that price?? The steak and handful of French chips. Nothing more, not even some salad to make the plate more attractive. Must say nothing wrong with the steaks and the service. But for us , we wait till corona is no longer the excuse for everything. MR....

After my latest visit to the restaurant I was not pleased to find that the salad that was previously included in the price is now extra. Also, the meat does not hold the quality it once did, and I suspect it was frozen produce (tasted dry and bland - and I ordered the rare filet steak!). It seems to have fallen to the level of what you would expect of a restaurant in a commercial centre. If you are willing to pay Block House prices for the meat, I suggest you instead go to one of the many restaurants in the area that serve great meat with a better...
