Its full of atmosphere at nights when the place comes alive. I dont like the persistent bother of the staff outside restaurants almost begging you to come in, it spoils the evening. I was also sick of the sun glasses/trinket peddlers bothering everytime they walked past me when i was enjoying a drink pressuring me to buy their junk. So if you ignore the restaurants begging you to come in & ignore the dozen or so SUNGLASSES/TRINKET SELLERS its a busy place. The only restaurant not "begging" you to come in is THE SAN MIGUEL, they don't need to as they have the best attitude, food & service in PUERTO RICO truly wonderful people working & giving you the best they can. Don't let my comments put you off about the Trinket peddlers or the guys outside the restaurants trying to get you to come in, just ignore them or tell them you have already eaten. The sunglasses & handbag sellers are persistent but again if you are firm & say no thanks or wave them away with a smile they tend to leave. It's a shame that these people are allowed to spoil the place, I don't want any hassle when relaxing with a drink or eating my meal. So don't worry about these little spoilers, just enjoy the experience & have a great time. As a footnote live music in THE SHAMROCK ☘️ BAR is great. So have your meal & then go & enjoy some music from the many great musicians appearing nightly. Special mention when KELLY MARLOW is doing his thing you can't help but feel the ENERGY he puts out & he really is an Electric entertainer who gives 1000%. If you could attach an electric cable to him he would power the whole of Puerto Rico. Hope this little review helps. Update July 2025 just the same but some places are closed due to...
Read moreWell this is a shopping center, let's say more of a market shopping center as the only shop that I have recognised is Zara. There is a spar, there is a dino supermarket, there are many restaurants to eat great meals, however for shopping I suggest to go visit Maspalomas there prices are very competitive and it's much bigger. For your basics this is fine in Puerto Rico. Anyway, most people do not necessarily, want to shop as such, so it's a typical market beach shops. There are however great perfume shops, do shop around to get good deals as it is possible. Also be aware, to buy from authentic suppliers. Other than this it is great to walk around have dinner, a drink and there is always entertainment. As far as the restaurants are concerned I would defiantly do my homework before and see what other fellow travelers have experienced. We seem to always go back to the favourite places as we are guaranteed to have a wonderful meal and service. So do your homework. Remember not too far away, there is also a Mercadona for shopping especially for food of you have a self catering accommodation, I suggest visit Mercadona as the proves are very reasonable and much better. Also you will find all the thinks you need for making your home cooking, as if you were at home. However you do need a car to get there, or you could use a taxi, depends where you stay. I always do my shopping at Mercado it's fantastic, it is a Spanish supermarket and they have everything and it is always fresh. Hope this will help,...
Read moreSome venues are decent. We went to San Miguel and el Toro and had lovely meals. For drinks I highly recommend tifannys to start the night and then move down to piccadillys for the best entertainment by far. The djs and staff are lovely caring and absolutely hilarious. The big let down is the morrocans. Constantly harassing us trying to sell drugs which the local police and security staff seem to not care about it.They are very hands on with females and aggressive with males. It's a major let down and has ruined most of our time here. I don't understand why they are allowed to operate the way the do. If a tourist steps out of line then they get locked up but morrocans can sell drugs?. They are everywhere. Prepare to be approcoaced costantĺy. They called our females ugly and offered us out for a fight when challenged on their behaviour.I will personally be complaining to the highest level about this as its absolutely disgusting and has kind of ruined the whole thing for us. It's not safe. Even during daylight hours they are allowed to do what they want. The fault lies with local authorities in my opinion as they allow them to operate. Horrible people. They are easy to spot or smell but they just cannot...
