I chose this school based on its good rating on Google and the positive reviews I found. At first, I had high expectations. Some teachers are indeed excellent, and the coordination team is polite and professional. However, my personal experience was far from what I expected.I suffer from ADHD, and although I shared this openly, I felt that there was little flexibility or understanding in terms of how students with different learning needs process information. I use the tools I have to learn in my own way, but I felt judged for asking questions or showing curiosity beyond the standard material. In one instance, I asked about a less common form of the subjunctive and was met with sarcasm, as if my interest in deeper understanding was inappropriate. I was told to focus only on basic grammar, which made me feel discouraged and unwelcome. The classroom atmosphere was not supportive, and certain situations repeated themselves in ways that made me uncomfortable and anxious to return.
In addition, the classroom environment was often physically uncomfortable. During the summer, the air conditioning was turned on and off repeatedly, and on many occasions there was only a single fan for a room with 8 to 10 students. We were frequently asked to open or close the doors to regulate the temperature, but it rarely improved the conditions.I’m currently in Salamanca, but I’ve studied in other language schools in Ireland in the past, where I experienced far more flexible and inclusive teaching methods tailored to each student’s needs. Sadly, this school did not offer the same level of adaptability or support.
I don’t write this to discredit the entire school. As mentioned, there are outstanding professionals working there. But unfortunately, some teachers’ approach to teaching — and even their command of their own language — leaves much to be desired. I regret choosing this school and hope my experience helps others make an...
Read moreI studied at this language school for about 4.5 months (with a few short vacation breaks), and it was truly a wonderful experience so I even extended my lessons 2 times.
When I first arrived, I had no knowledge of the language at all, and during my time here I was able to reach level B1. The teachers explained everything clearly, adapted to my personal learning needs, and even took the time for one-on-one conversations to ask for feedback and make sure I was comfortable with my progress and the lessons in general.
I was lucky to have classes with almost all of the teachers, and each of them was excellent. They not only cared about teaching the language but also about the personal well-being of their students. Also I learned a lot about the Spanish culture in every part of the country because the teachers are from a lot of areas.
The reception staff were also absolutely wonderful, always friendly, supportive, and ready to help.
The class sizes were perfect, usually around 4–6 students, which made learning very effective and allowed us to practice a lot. My classmates were amazing as well – it was always a positive, open, and motivating environment. The textbooks provided were useful, and in addition to the lessons, the school also organized extracurricular activities that were always fun, social, and either free or very affordable.
Thanks to this combination of excellent teaching, supportive staff, and a warm atmosphere, I was able to make great progress and really enjoyed every day at the school. I would definitely come back in the future and highly recommend it to anyone who wants to learn a language in a professional yet friendly environment.

I studied Spanish at Colegio Tía Tula for three and a half months in levels B1, B2, and C1. I would recommend it to anyone and everyone that wants to improve their Spanish, have fun, and meet people from around the world. The teachers are wonderful and the administration is super friendly and helpful. The students are friendly and welcoming. Since students are from all over the world and speak different languages, the classes are taught completely in Spanish, which meant that we had an immersive experience. Every day, we had classes with two different teachers which let us hear different accents and learn the language better. Additionally, since the school has a teacher training program, we sometimes had student teacher observers in class with us in addition to our teacher. This was a great benefit for us because we were always able to practice with native speakers. The building is architecturally beautiful and centrally located. When there isn’t covid, there are lots of extracurricular activities. The school location is very central. I have studied Spanish in many different schools before coming to Tía Tula, and I promise that it really is the best way to learn in a manner that is both fun and fast. I learned more in a few months here than in 10 years of American...
