Decathlon Santander — Local services in Santander

Great place with everything you would need fast at cheap price. All the staff were very helpful. Just BECAREFUL when buying a bag to check all pockets, even any hidden ones because I bought 20L bag and the cashier checked all bags but apparently even in the pocket he checked, there was a scissor in there that rang the alarm and had to be escorted by the security at the exit to check. He found the scissor and was questions me such as why is this in here and where are you from. With my broken Spanish I explained that I'm sorry, I don't know, I tried on the bag, picked up a brand new one ( with tags and unopened and unfolded) I just bought 3 items, cashier checked the pockets. The security gave me the face that was saying "yea okay" but yes, it was in a way my fault for not checking thoroughly but the fact that cashier didn't find it even after checking it himself, I thought it was just unfair for me to be asked somewhat irrelevant question... Otherwise, great place so I will still...

EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE! 👌🏼 Maria from the cycle department helped us to choose our son’s first scooter; she couldn’t have been more helpful, especially because my Spanish is ashamedly non-existent. I can’t say I was surprised: in the UK and in France I’ve always found the staff at Decathlon to be very knowledgable , affable and patient. The same was certainly true here in Santander today.
