Olympia Bob Run St. Moritz - Celerina — Local services in Sankt Moritz

OMG this was possibly one of the BIGGEST highlights of our 4 week European holiday and was completely unplanned and unexpected!!

We stumbled on the World Cup Bobsled event the week we were in St Moritz after chatting to two guys decked out in Italian team clothes while skiing!! $25 tickets and kids free, dropped off by the local bus right at the penultimate 180 degree corner mid-track, we were awestruck by the bobsleds racing past, so close you could literally reach out and touch them!!

If you’re in the area during an event YOU MUST GO!!! Watch the teams get ready at the start, walk down the length of the track through the snow and forrest as the sleds race past you, stop half way at the corner above for a warm drink and sausage or soup, then head down to the finish line! Afterwards, you can relax and celebrate at a charming bar, perfect for toasting to your adventure. However, it’s important to note that this experience isn’t very family-friendly. The bar is located on the first floor with no elevator access, making it challenging for elderly visitors or those with special needs.

De passage Lors d une journée avec le pilot Marcel Rohner et le Bremser (freineur) Samuel Läderach. Début de matinée découverte de la piste depuis Finish-lodge jusqu'au départ des balades en bobsleigh. Lors de la descente en bobsleigh la piste est bien sécurisée, la descente est relativement tranquille jusqu au virage Sunny corner ou tout s'accélère. Env. 1min. De descente pour parcourir les 1.8km de la piste. Quand on n est pas habitué on perd un peu ses repères quand on rejoint la navette qui nous ramène en haut de la piste.
