Part of the Kulm Hotel, this country club restaurant offers a truly unique and inviting atmosphere. Overlooking the glistening ice field, the warm and elegant interior immediately makes you feel at home.
As we arrived a little early, we had the pleasure of enjoying some wonderful cocktails at the bar. It happened to be Cocktail Week, which made the experience even more special—the bar team personally presented and explained each drink, adding an interactive and engaging touch to our evening. The craftsmanship and creativity behind each cocktail were truly impressive, setting the perfect tone before dinner.
The ambiance is both sophisticated and cozy, with dim lighting, tasteful decor, and a subtle touch of history. A particularly striking detail is the collection of vintage bobsleds suspended from the ceiling—a tribute to the rich legacy of the sport, which has its roots just around the corner at the famous Olympia Bob Run.
The staff is exceptionally attentive, ensuring that every guest feels welcome and well cared for. What stands out even more is the camaraderie among them—it's clear they enjoy working together, which adds to the overall positive and relaxed atmosphere.
For those looking for a truly memorable dining experience, we highly recommend the Chateaubriand for two. The quality of the meat is outstanding, cooked to absolute perfection according to our preferences. The sommelier’s wine pairing was equally impressive, complementing the flavors of the dish flawlessly.
All in all, we had an unforgettable evening filled with laughter, impeccable service, and exquisite cuisine. This restaurant is a true gem in the mountains, and we would gladly return for another...
Read moreWe visited with friends and were initially impressed by the cozy atmosphere and competent service. The staff were attentive and the ambiance was pleasant—no complaints there. But unfortunately, that’s where the positives end. The pricing strategy feels completely disconnected from the quality of the food. We understand that this is an exclusive location, but charging 15 CHF for 10 fries (yes, we counted) is simply outrageous—especially when they weren’t even good. The sides followed the same pattern: 15 CHF each for portions that wouldn’t pass muster at a Migros restaurant, let alone a place trying to position itself as upscale. The food overall was average at best. Nothing memorable, nothing refined—just basic dishes dressed up with inflated prices. It’s no wonder the restaurant was barely a third full. With this kind of arrogant pricing, they’re not just turning away locals, but also savvy travelers who know when they’re being taken for a ride. If you're looking for a place that respects both your palate and your wallet,...
Read moreWent for dinner, but overall was a bit hit and miss…. Most of the dishes we had were excellent: duck and foie gras terrine, char with fish roe, pork belly - inventive, super tasty, and well presented. Atmosphere and location was great. Service was a bit clumsy, and certainly not what I expect from a restaurant associated with the Kulm. Seated on a corner and often bumped by staff as they went back and forth to the kitchen… my wife ordered a Hendricks and tonic with cucumber, but was served with lemon. When asked about the garnish was informed the bar didn’t have cucumber… they did offer to replace the drink with a different gin, but why serve it with lemon in the first place? Staff often reached across in front of my wife to serve. Maybe they were having a bad night, but was not 5* service...
