This is such a lovely eatery! I met the owner at a photo exhibition in Taipei (where he was exhibiting his photos), and he told me about his eatery. When I was travelling to Hualien the next month I couldn't help but stop by for a meal.
The interior is incredibly cosily decorated, creating a feel of an oasis in the middle of the city. One can sit indoors or outdoors in the backyard.
The food and bevares are absolutely unforgettable. One might have had some of the dishes here before—like banana and peanut butter on bread and fruit juice—but the seasoning and way they're prepared create unique flavours that you rarely get elsewhere.
The owner, his wife, and the staff were so lovely and made us feel very welcome there 😊 This restaurant is closing down soon and I can't wait to try the new place they are opening up in Taichung later...
